If you have experience playing Vanilla, that may be of some value in beta unless you have become senile in which case your value is somewhat in question.

It did indeed just appear today. I know for a fact. Not only was it part of the blue post, but I even updated my pref yesterday and it wasn’t there.
I will neither deny or confirm that I was double checking that page daily…
but it wasn’t there yesterday.

Thanks for telling me. It really sucks though that I have had a subscription to WoW since 2005 yet for like 2 months I stop playing then this comes out I went to get subscription yesterday again, there are still things I love to do in this game like farm gold. So at least I get something to do.
So… after going to Account management and selecting classic wow, how are we to know if we are successful in gaining access to classic beta?
You’ll have a Beta option in the region drop down above the Play button on the World of Warcraft tab in the BattleNet app.

Uhh its a ‘if you are lucky and/or a streamer’ kind of timing.
There’s a news post and a sticky in this forum that gives some vague information, but basically invites starting going out yesterday at 3pm PDT and will continue to be progressively sent out “as needed”.
So just keep checking once a day or whatever. We don’t know when they go out at this point.
There will be stress tests you will likely be able to participate in though.

More waves of invites have been sent out today and there will be more going out in the future, but we have no idea when.
You have to be subbed to play it live also. If 15 dollars a month breaks you there are probably better things you can do with your time.
Appreciate the info. I was late to the party about the opt in announcement, despite being subbed. I hope this doesn’t disadvantage the chances of getting a spot. =/

That’s the problem, you don’t expect individuals to gamble for the beta access, you expect them to have common sense and realice that paying 15 bucks for a CHANCE to play the beta is not worth it.
People who subbed only for a chance to play the beta, are part of the reason we now have loot boxes.
