Been having trouble with this… I’ve tried felwood and tanaris, and only get maybe 1-2 nodes per run…
Wasn’t there an instance with mithril in it or am I misremembering?
Even though it’s a Thorium zone, I have found UnGoro Crater more reliable. The ore spawn rates there seem to be way better. You can also find some in Uldaman.
Ah that was the instance.
Answer is outland… Just kidding its Hinterlands.

The answer is actually maraudon. Get 4 spawn in a 6 mins run
I had the most luck with Hinterlands. I’d park a character out there and do a lap or two at odd hours. Apparently Maraudon can be quite good as well, but it’s less accessible to characters who aren’t yet 70.
Thanks I will look into that one.
Mining at 218 this morning .
I am also skinning, so 265/300
/played at 59 24hours…lol
That’s where I leveled it in Classic when the competition was much more fierce. It’s probably a really good zone now
Competition is fierce at the moment as well with all the DKs and boosted toons
You aren’t finding any ore because of the immense amount of people farming and the low spawn rates of ore. I’ve also been having this issue.
Got my mithril mining done in Desolace.
They really should up the spawn rates of ore or make the nodes shared.
Go inside uldaman. Through the back entrance.
Theres 4 ores to mine per lockout. So you can mine a total of 20 per hour just instanced.
Moria.
I think I ended up doing mithril in Tanaris.
2007?
I have a friend who has a baby that made a time machine.
Inside mara, i uses to farm tons of mithril while doing the princess runs on hunter.
The AH. Buy it, smelt it, sell the bars. People who are using mithril for leveling Engineering, making pets, etc. will buy the bars because it saves time vs. smelting. Smelting levels you up. Smelting Mithril takes you all the way to 230, with the diminishing returns kicking in more at 202.
