Best pizza in the world

Lou Malnatis in Chicago.

Sure miss that pizza, I no longer live in Chicago. /cry

Now I’m stuck with the worse pizza in the world Dominos, Pizza Hut or Papa Johns.

Crust is like wet cardboard, ketchup for sauce and america plastic cheese.

It’s a blasphemy!

Chicago Pizza is not a pizza, it’s a casserole

Giant Piazza King San Diego, CA. My all time fav. Lots of Russians and Brazilians work for them. Best Pizza in the world. And they have wings and salad.

Only can handle that sometimes.

Dominos used to be good when I was a kid, but it’s in a race for the bottom of the market with Little Caesars now, another one who used to be much better.

Just my opinion, but the best pizza usually comes from mom & pop Greek restaurants.

You have a good point there. A friend of mine has an outside wood fired pizza oven, I was very impressed.

Best pizza in the world comes from the brew pub where I make beer. Simple beautiful pies with a gorgeous sourdough crust in a woodfired oven made by a tiny Irishman who talks at a million miles a second, has a million tattoos, and is mad about everything.

But man, are they tasty.

The one thing I miss about city life is the quality restaurants. I’m about an hour’s drive from the nearest McDonald’s these days, nevermind anywhere decent. And the real tragic part is that I was too poor to actually eat at those nice places while it was geographically feasible to enjoy them.

The best pizza comes from wood ovens, not those brand name places like Dominos, papa johns, Pizza hut…etc

Fascinating.

I have the infinite displeasure of living in this Chicago wasteland now, and have concluded that deep-dish Chicago-style pizza is such a horrific abomination, I’m surprised it doesn’t flail around meat cleavers. We tried Lou Malnati’s for the first time a few weeks ago and threw half of it away.

Gotta try some Venice Pizza on El Cajon Blvd.
