Best looking race for Hunter

Hi all,

I am rolling alliance hunter as an alt and would like to here your advice, pick which race is the best overall in terms of animation, weapon (bow/crossbow/gun) cast, xmog in your opinion? Remember I am alliance and I dont have any single horde toons. Thank you much appreciated.

I probably won’t be much help, but I kind of go with themes for my hunters.
My draenei is my oldest hunter so he has a ton of different pets, no real theme. Looks good with a bow.
My human is based on my dad and only tames pets based on past pets we had, looks ok with a bow.
My DiD only tames fire pets, uses a gun, not sure about bow animations.
My mechagnome only tames mech pets, uses a gun for obvious reasons.
I’ve never been a fan of crossbow for anyone. Not sure about most races but draenei swing the crossbow with each shot and it basically clips through their arm, which looks silly.
Maybe make a couple trial toons and see what you think. :slight_smile:

Female Human for Guns. Female Night Elf for bows BY FAR, Male Draenei for Crossbows.

Female Human or Draenei for melee.

Alliance: Gnome

Night Elf females and Pandarian females for bow animations.

My VE prefers her guns though.

Why don’t you make a few trials to see what you prefer? :slight_smile:

for a dash of elegance and refinery I suggest Void elves as we look… drops voice a few octaves “simply faaabulous”.

Hunter is my favorite; I have several different hunters both on Alliance and Horde.

I really like the looks of my Blood Elf Hunter. I love the gnomes too. When I am able to make a Vulpera; it will be a hunter too. I also have a panda and human hunter.

wanted to post the full scene but this was the best I could find in english :wink:.

probably go with Kul’tiran though, don’t know if they’re any faster but male Draenei are definitely pretty slow.

Void/Blood Elves don’t fit the hunter theme IMO; the females have a nice pose with a bow/crossbow but look stupid with a gun, the males look stupid no matter what. They also lack the wild feeling that a hunter must have.

My Alliance hunter is a female dwarf and I’ve never regretted it.

Female dwarf with a bear and a shotgun rolling around on one of the engineering vehicles is always a source of joy to me. And the animations are pretty reasonable.

The important thing is to play whatever you pick with GUSTO.

(Which is why dwarves are always the best answer. You can’t be a dwarf without gusto.)

For the classic feel, female night elf. They are the most elegant and beautiful. Especially with darkshore warfront armor.
