look i know none of us know what the next class is going to be. it could be anything. but just wondering what your guys predictions on the next class is going to be? and if you have any evidence… i’m going to throw my hat in the ring and say bard because it’s the only unique class i can think of that doesn’t have any ties to any other classes currently in the game. i can’t think of anything else except maybe vampires? i could see them as a dual casting/melee type of build which given this shadowlands expansion, would tie them in perfectly. also the fact that wow hasn’t had a new caster type. so wby?

I mean it’s fun to speculate but I doubt will see a new class anytime soon. They apparently don’t have the resources or the time to give us something as simple as new hairstyles lol

The only real class they can dump without stealing/gibbing other classes is bard.
Necro literally has too much thematic overlap with DK and gameplay overlap with the current demo lock
Tinker is literally the 15 years of engineering gizmos and the only near unique thing being a mech suit.
Blizzard is SUPER anti archetype/thematic overlap. It’s why warlocks had death coil renamed for DKs and meta stripped for DHs

The thing is though, Bard wasn’t a class before. It doesn’t exist as a class in AFAIK any of the Warcraft games.
Tinker is a class from WC3. Necromancer is also more likely as they had a huge influence in Arthas’s story.

Next exp will most definitely be the dragon isles. Which means the next class will be the dragon sworn.
If it was necro it would’ve been with SL.

You can still shove them in there because we have had bard-like npcs that have literally been wandering around since vanilla. (the guy who gives out the dancing flute)
The other two would literally require a gutting of engineering or the removal of demo as a spec (again).
To make a necro feel viable we would literally be better off making it a mid ranged dk spec and shifting demo’s damage back into the big uber pet while cutting back on the spawn all the minions theme a hair.
Honestly if they are going to add another class I’d like to see something more original (if that’s even possible). Tinker, Bard and Necromancer are cliche and over done. I’d also prefer it be another healer/ranged class.

If there is ever a new class, it would undoubtedly be Tinker.
Necromancer is already filled by UHDK.
Bard is already filled, and Monk has low player representation. The vast majority of people don’t like the theme of Monk/Bard in a WoW verse. The small amount of people who would enjoy Bard aren’t worth the effects that trying to balance 3 new specs would come with. It would essentially hurt the game more than it would benefit it. They won’t do Bard.
Tinker is the only piece of established lore that they can work with to make 3 separate comprehensive specs without overlapping current existing specs/classes.
The game also lacks a builder/turret style class, so it’s just logical that if they do make a new class, that’s what it’d be.
Siege master- ranged, AoE, turrets.
Robotank- hyper durability tank(sharing the role with Guardian Druid).
Engineering specialist- utility, support, summons, turrets, mediocre off heals"repairs/armor kits".

where? monks literally have NOTHING to do with songs and music. BTW monk literally only has minimal representation because whenever its good it gets nerfed and the entire dps design is utter garbage for scaling
But can it be comprehensive without taking the vast majority of it’s kit from the 17 years of engineering? no it can not…

Even if you look at Final Fantasy a place where Bard is a thing. Its ALWAYS the least chosen thing, because people hate the theme.
No monks don’t sing, but they still fit the general theme of that whole peace and harmony crap.
