I keep getting killed when I get the boss down to about 56% I’ve watched tutorials and the only thing I can think that I’m doing wrong is just not having enough gems in my gear, so it’s a little bit buffer during the scale down. So where’s the best ilvl 50 gear? I was once told mists of pandaria raids. I’m using flasks, beef Al le mod, the weapon oil on both my daggers, necklace enchant that shoots out fireballs, scroll of fury, potion of fury, the raiding gem you consume I forgot it’s name, and hearthstones from warlocks.
SoO drops socketed gear that you can use, but it’s not ilvl 50. It is the fastest option though.
You can also buy/craft Dreadful Gladiator gear.
The BiS option though is farming Chromie Time ilvl 50 gear, but for that you’d need a second account or a friend helping you out.

I’m guessing dreadful gladiator gear is expensive?
Here’s the best options, though unless you wanna drop a lot of gold on the craftable stuff this may take some effort.

Also, you can do it without this gear. I know people who have. But having it does make a noticeable difference.

Why do you need a friend for chromie time? Are there puzzles in the raids or Soemthing?
Don’t try to farm Chromie Time for socket gear. That’s waaaay overkill for the mage tower-- not to mention very time consuming.

If you’re at 56% before hitting soft enrages. I will venture to say you aren’t having enough uptime on the boss and aren’t doing proper action priorities (rotation).

A max level toon cannot enter chromie time unless you party sync with someone lower level who is in chromie time.
I found the easiest way to gear was the craftable stuff. And I used some of the trinkets and weapons from the heirlooms. Weapon tip: if you have a low level character you can make the heirloom on them, put a low level enchant on it, and then mail it to your higher level main.
Also I highly recommend getting the Ravaged Seed Pod from the first boss in Emerald Nightmare. I used that trinket on almost every tower challenge.

They are not easy. Not at all.
Though if you’re lucky, the bear challenge could become easier (or harder) depending on the new DF talent trees.

I think I’ve put in 40-50 attempts so far. The fact that the best Guardians ever still took anywhere from 100-200 attempts made me nope out. I spent so much gold on this dang crafted gear and gems and enchants and food and flasks and potions and watching all these guides with all this conflicting information and different talent setups and strategies and BLAH. BLAH BLAH BLAH. >:V

All mist socketed gear uses some part of the item budget for Sockets. Be careful, as sometimes the socket is costlier than the stats it gives you, meaning the piece will actually be less powerful than a non-socketed ilvl 50 piece.
The BiS option is Nethershard gear, with sockets, non-warforged. You can rerolls pieces indefinately so long as you can farm the nethershards. Sockets don’t have an attached item budget cost, so they’re literally just extra stats, however Warforges can lock you out of certain enchants, so throw those out if the slot requires an ilvl 50 piece.
