[BEST COVENANTS ANNOUNCED] Comprehensive List For All Classes and Specs (updated as of 11/21 | includes ALL hotfixes, class changes, and soulbind tuning)

Hi guys, I’ve included the recent announcements below! This includes ALL of the recent class changes, hot fixes and covenant/soulbind tuning.

In terms of general trends, the nerf to Pelagos’ final trait Let Go of the Past has pushed many specs away from Kyrian and towards the Night Fae. In addition, the Night Fae Hunter Covenant ability was buffed in hotfixes this week and Niya’s Tools: Burrs Soulbind Trait now affects bosses.

Finally, Night Fae has had a strong Soulbind Tree, it was just overshadowed by Kleia and Pelagos, but with nerfs to the Kyrian Soulbinds, many of these specs have moved over to Night Fae or have a choice to have Night Fae as their best Covenant alongside the Kyrian.

Unfortunately, there doesn’t seem to be much info around best covenants for PvP. I’d love to add this here if anyone has any reliable sources!

Incoming nerfs so everyone goes Venthyr instead, followed by nerfs forcing everyone to necrolords, followed by nerfs forcing everyone to kyrian, followed by…

Kinda wish they’d just pick one and stick with it. May not have cared about night fae, but at least it was best for everything instead of having all 4 spread out across different content for all my specs.

Yep, blizz would rather waste INFINITE dev time trying to make a crappy system work rather than making it COSMETIC ONLY and just doing something more important.

I agree. Sad thing is i like doing mythic. I gave up raids an that must have op spec dps race. Few guilds want a so so tank on my realm.

You’re missing at least one spec on there, not to mention how incomplete of a picture that is. There are different ways to measure this. Different sims for different content.

I was planning on going Night Fae reguardles. Good to know I won’t be gimped for at least a little while.

I’m not a fan of the night fae ability for mage even though the fox form would be nice to have. So I’ll prob go venthyr since im gonna play frost anyways for now at least, but im afraid ill regret my choice haha.

necrolord is going to be empty lol

the system is going to be a mess , and probably changed in 9.2 or maybe 9.1

change the skills to a talent row or something ,for conduits ? u actually help all the covenants on your way to max lvl , let ppl choose the covenant for cosmetics.

this is going to be such a crapshow where people spend months playing a covenant to have it nerf and lose a solid 5percent dps and end up at bottom of pack

Just an fyi, my friend. NF is better aoe for frost, and better both for fire. Not to mention, I believe the single target difference for frost in nearly non existent

This is super selfish but I really am so glad that everything I have been planning to play can avoid Necrolord :sob: It is my least favorite by miles.

Man what a weird system if we’re locked into covenants. Better make sure you know what you’re doing with your alts.
