Best classes and specs for Delves?

Curious on everyone’s opinions here.

Have found both Druid and Monk to be quite decent in there.

Hunter is excellent if you’re handy with its CC (both ice and explosive trap+ stun + int ).

Tank or DPS specs?

I’ve actually done an 8 on both WW and Brew!

Brew I tend to do more head on, WW I attack and wall-kite usually bursting mob down at a time.

(Side note I suck at Druid DPS so it’s just been tank I tried on it).

meta is still trio, tank dps healer, doesnt matter class really in terms of able to complete. if want fastest possible then obviously bring meta classes. tried 4, way too long, 5 same thing. trio best.

I’ve only tried solo MM hunter so far so not sure which is really the “best”, but Hunters seem pretty good. you can use Misdirection on your pet so they can tank for you, and if you get aggro you can use Feign Death to get enemies on brann or your pet instead of you.

Hunters can use freezing trap for packs with more than 1 caster, so kicks are easier to manage, or just generally for pulling less enemies so you and your pet take a little less damage. Brann can break the traps tho unfortunately, so gotta be mindful of that, and move your pet away from the traps so brann doesn’t break them shooting at enemies.

Hunters also have Intimidate, Hi explosive trap, and Bursting shot for interrupting casts if Counter Shot is on cd, and since the pet (or brann) is tanking for you, you can also LoS casts easily to avoid taking damage if you can’t kick a spell (which every class can do, i just find it easier when the mob doesn’t chase you down when it stops casting)

Hunter can also kite Melee mobs pretty easily with Concussive Shot and Tar Trap, and can push them away with Bursting Shot if they get too close. they can dispell enemy magic and enrage effects with Tranq shot, and can remove poisons and diseases from themselves with Feign Death / Aspect of the Turtle if you talent into it.

they also have damage immunity with Aspect of the Turtle, so for bosses like the Earthcrawl Mines boss that requires multiple kicks you can kick the first cast, and use Turtle to avoid getting hit by the second, because brann likes to kick the web bolts instead for some reason. turtle has a 3 min cd, so you can only do it once unfortunately, but those dots hurt, so not getting hit is pretty nice.

I’ve only done it on my warrior and hunter.

Played both prot and fury on my warrior, fury felt better for me.

I only play survival on my hunter and t8s have honestly been a breeze to solo before and after and after and after the changes.

#1-#6: tank.

#36: anything else.

Doing them in a full party is back to being a joke. Even Brann does fine healing a 1/0/4 of all undergeared players.

But hunters get melted on unavoidable AoE.
They are great for most of the trash, not that good on some bosses.

I’ve only tried (as in did 8 T8s) frost mage/BM hunter, and, so far, mage has been easier.

Back to leveling alts now.

And T8 I’m guessing is what gets you Heroic Raid gear?

Considering what’s coming on Tuesday it’s not gonna matter.

Done 8’s om my Aff Loc and BM hunter, alittle rough but did it

WW has been a blast in t8s, squishy enough that you have to pay attention to everything, but monk has enough CC/survivability in the kit that you have all the tools to deal with pretty much everything. Touch of Karma is goated in solo content.

What do you mean?

T8: ilvl 603 drop/ 616 vault, chance at a map, which you get you a 610 on the next.

In my experience Brew Monk is very good in general at Delves.

BM hunter pack leader for trash and Dark ranger to melt bosses - make Brann healer and T8 - 9 is a cake walk

Guardian Druid, hands down. Slow n steady but not deaths at T8

T7 onwards, yes

The spec I’m using right now, a Colossus Arms variant with no reliance on bleeds, is surprisingly effective at soloing. High damage, high damage mitigation. Damage is slightly lower than the meta right now (slayer) but that’s getting nerfed Tuesday while my spec is getting buffed. And I might not be as tanky as an actual tank but I can take a hit way better than other DPS.
