From my classes I’ve ran tier 8 + on.
Good: Monk, Frost DK
Average: Shadow Priest, Feral Druid
Bad (annoying): Outlaw Rogue, Survival (pets die too quick now)

I’ve been doing 8s pretty consistently as frost mage myself. I recommend it.
Prot warr feels good. Spell reflect, interrupt, aoe stun, 2 single target stuns. Victory rush after every kill, second wind when kiting.
Warrior kit seems super good for delves. Just did a sinkhole-10 in about 15 mins with no deaths. Gonna try 11 and see.
Idk I’ve been fine so far on 8s. some aoe spells hurt, but that’s what Turtle and Survival of the Fittest are for. the only unavoidable aoe damage I can think of is from Waxface’s Burn Away and the Swarm spell on the Spiral Weave and Dread Pit bosses, and I’ve been fine with those bosses as long as I hit my defensives for the aoe damage. you won’t need them for anything else anyway because the pet is tanking the boss for you.
I like to use Survival of the fittest, and Exhilaration before Turtle since spending focus makes Exhilaration come back faster, so it’ll be back a little faster if i need it. then I use Turtle for the second aoe, since I’m not usually full hp. then SotF the 3rd aoe, by the 3rd aoe I’ve usually leeched enough hp to live, but I also have potions if I need them, but I haven’t needed both my SotF charges, or potions for any boss below 11s, Except for Waxface. if you really need a 4th defensive you can dismiss your pet and have Brann tank, or use a Tenacity pet for Fortitude of the Bear. you can also set Brann to healer, or spec Smoke Screen on Dark Ranger (unless your survival of course) for extra healing to heal yourself through the aoe better.
not that I think there aren’t better classes for bosses, I’m sure some classes can handle certain bosses better, hunters definitely aren’t the tankiest class in the game, but it hasn’t been too big of a problem for me so far.
tier 7 gives champion gear at 1/8, and t8 gives champion gear at 3/8, so if 8s are too hard you can do 7s, you’ll just need to grind more Valorstones and crests.
the vault for both 7s and 8s gives 616 ilvl iirc, and you can find maps that give you an extra chest at the end of the delve for running the same tier of delve you got the map on. at tier 8 this is 610 ilvl.
tiers 9-11 give the same gear as tier 8, those are just for bragging rights, and a Feat of Strength with a title.
Vault for 7s gives 610, following same pattern as chests with 1/8 Heroic for T7 and 3/8 Heroic for T8.
Ret is good. Not sure how it compares to prot, ret is good enough that I don’t feel compelled to switch.
I think all classes are good but you may need to find the specific spec/playstyle that clicks with you. Solo delves push you to use the majority or all of your kit and some classes use more kiting and others use more mitigation and other’s use more healing.
Ill second this, minus the slow part.
Surprised no one has said any of the Warlock specs yet.
Discipline for me has been the easiest solo spec so far. Started doing 8s at ~580.
Brann goes Brrr?
He does and discipline just adds DPS by its nature while brute forcing through the incoming damage.
Actual fastest T8 was on 603 Demo lockcin 7 minutes in Abyss
Easiest is 602 Ret Pally by far almost no problem with all the CC, high damage output, and damage reductions/self healing.
WW 607 monk same as ret more stuns makes it easier.
604 Arcane mage isnt easiest but its its burst is best just makes downtime between pulls faster, spellsteal so so many buffs.
598 BM hunter / 603 Demo lock - pet classes are smooth sailing bc peta take 1/2 the amount of the damage and tank stuff for ya so taking brann as healer makes it all a joke.
597 Fury Warrior - spell reflect op for almost every caster fight or trash pull, finally using intimidating shout again is awesome.
604 Spriest - silence is bit of long CD so this is the one i have a bit more trouble on, just need more time on it to learn all its tools. Fear, desperate prayer, dispersion. Still looking at the best use locations for each.
Edit - I dont play DK, DH, Evoker, 80 druid is just for Herb/mining.
I’ve done 8s on BM Hunter, Ret Pally, Unholy and Blood DK, and Havoc DH.
I’d rank them BM >>> Unholy > Blood >>> Ret >>> Havoc
BM is braindead. Keep Mend Pet on cooldown. MD on cooldown, since pet threat is bugged right now. Interrupt any AoEs or fears. Otherwise, it’s a faceroll. You can heal your pet SO much right now that nothing really threatens it all that much.
Unholy has a very strong toolkit for delves. Great short CDs, great defensives, self-healing, pets to take some threat off you. Blood is similar, but slower and gets hit a lot harder (tank tuning is dumb).
Ret takes a crapload of damage, but also has good defensives and some decent healing. Also very strong AoE damage. Still, I died way more on Ret than the others… except for…
Havoc DH blows in delves. You get absolutely butt-blasted by everything. Your defensives are not good. Self-healing is semi-strong, but nowhere near makes up for how much damage you take. Damage is so-so.
Prot Warrior.
Guardian Druid.
Blood DK.
Brewmaster Monk.
BM Hunter.
I solo T8s very easily as Unholy DK with Brann as DPS.
Is Santa Claus coming on Tuesday?
Blood DK.
Tier 11s(pointless to do for gear but you can get the title)
Slow and steady.
No Deaths(for title)
I have been able to do 8’s with Survival, Ret, Windwalker and Enhancement, Enhancement has been hardest for me. For Survival I use a cat, avoidance seems better than mitigation.
I want to say BM hunter but for some odd reason mobs in delves ignore my pets roar and just go right for my bum! its like they turned pets threat gen off as soon as you get in and even though it is on and being used they will ignore my pets xD (also in all my life of WoW have i NEVER spammed mend pet so much in delves LOL)
I have only done the first few delves thus far on tier 1, so I guess i am a bad example, but it clearly favors tanks as you can set Brann on Dps and just aggro mobs.
Prot pally was a complete faceroll, Ret pally was easy, warlock was cake and hunter. The first caster spec I have run was Ele. Shaman to see how Brann tanks, but the last mob in mine crawl delve , just stands there and casts anyway, so he is not a good test.
I have a holy and a Disc priest I am going to run and see what happens.
