I have a friend wanting to try tbc. What class would you guys recommend for disabled players?
To be clear, his hands are in constant pain so lowest apm would be best.
Thanks

Beast master Hunter.
Your pet does all the work and you can clear all solo and dungeon content pressing very few buttons.
It is why the class is so popular.
I have heard people say hunter is the hardest class. Something about timing steady shots and auto shots?
Easy to play, but hard to master, maybe?
In general, pet classes offer a bit of flexibility.
Wasn’t tbc the time of the infamous 1 button macro hunter DPS rotation?
Those are sweaty tryhards trying to parse number one on the damage meter in raid content.
You can safely ignore those people.
You can quest, dungeon, and do battlegrounds without ever even needing to know how to “master” any class, but BM hunter especially so.
It’s hard to play perfect, but it’s very easy and low APM to play adequately especially in solo content
paladin
Definitely hunter. It still feels like active play but with less apm, plus survivability is high so your friend can make progress and not get frustrated.
Is paladin still just auto attack.
pretty much. your friend can level with auto attacks and occasionally cast holy light on himself. sounds perfect
I think you can bind all you action to the scroll wheel and just scroll your way to “over 9000”
Can your friend use a controller? I play with a controller and do awesome, I used a keyboard and mouse for years and can’t do it anymore so I switched to a controller and do great. There are tutorials out how to set it up as WoW has no Native support.
Holy Paladin is like, use 1-2 skills forever with the occasional buffing.
Not what you asked, but I really want to try one of these. Not that I am disabled, but it looks cool for anyone:

What class would you recommend for mentally disabled players?
Mage/warlock probably.
A lot of folks hate on paladins. You don’t have a lot of buttons that you “need” to push, so there’s a nice simplicity there. However, there’s a lot of positioning needed as you’re pure melee.
It’s a fun class for sure.
Try playing one with the intent to do a good job.
You’re right it’s 3 buttons then.
