Title says it really, but I am just looking for casual BG fun that isn’t going to get completely stomped while I duo with my friend who mains a Priest.
I was thinking of playing a Paladin, but since I am with a Priest I don’t necessarily need to have heals.
Any advice is appreciated.

Appreciate the reply, I guess I am conflicted with all the choices after not playing so long. I played a Druid for a good amount of time because they could do anything I needed them to do at any given time. With specializations there are several classes that do it all - Paladins, Druids, Monks, Etc…
Basically just looking to not get entirely stomped, and there are lots of options for that.
Duoing with a healer can never got wrong with Monk or Arms warrior
enh sham. the tool kit those 2 classes have can counter just about everything else.
As of Today a Warrior with your Priest buddy healing you would be great! That said if you want to assist him and save his butt while trucking people with relative easy play Ret Paladin.
If you want massive evasion and the ability to lock people down and burst them, Rogue WW monk come to mind.
There is no downside to Paladin, they are amazing tanks are crazy powerful in pvp, and amazing healers. All 3 specs are overtuned in my opinion…
They can survive virtually anything, they have multiple ways to prevent themselves or others from dying, they have multiple shields, free mounts, can DPS, Heal, and Save another player.
Appreciate it, probably roll with my Paladin and see how it goes.
Paladin is easily kited by ranged so unless you have team support you may get frustrated. I think marksman and shadow priest are really strong right now.
Ret Pal is the ultimate battleground hero. In arena they’re A tier, but in random BGs they’re SSS tier.
Can’t go wrong with a moonkin in BGs right now, shadow and marks hunter are also really good and I feel like pretty soon warlock will be top tier as well.
I’m playing with my warrior friend, but I feel like a ret or mage would pair nicely with a disc priest.

Funny thing, my friend decided to go Shaman, figured I’d just go Druid so I have all the options whenever. Druids seem pretty consistent in any spec.
