Let’s say there was a 5x5 yard area on the ground that I didn’t like and didn’t want it, or anything standing in it, to exist anymore. What class / spec could rain vengeance down upon it in the most efficient manner? I’m talking all CDs, talents, potions, everything popped. What has the highest burst potential? Ret Paladin with wings and guardian and electric hammer etc? Fury warrior with recklessness, bloodbath, bladestorm, die by the sword?
The toon wouldn’t be used for raiding so I’m not worried about parsing or not “speccing correctly”, but more for farming open world things like the tiller quests that make you go kill hozen up on the hill. Gather up 20 mobs and delete them every few minutes.
I’m not a PvPer at all tbh, but I was doing Arenas 2v2’s to earn conquest for gear to be used in PvE.
Paladin burst was just insane, especially earlier on. I’d pretty much 1v2 all matches, as I’d kill anyone within 4-5 seconds.
Even if they blinked away, Hammer is only 2s CD, so I just kept nuking them at range.
Was fun.
Bladestorm is probably the most insane button in the game for AoE like that. Arms though.
destro lock has probably the highest burst potential for instant same gcd one global damage.
Week 1 my friend in honour blues playing without a medallion. (Orc running human trinkets) And without malevolent weapon or jade spirit hit me for 300k in the same gcd all in one second, in PvP.
It was Chaos Bolt for 135k, conflag 90k, Shadow burn 95k.
So 320k in one cast all landing at exactly the same time, with more in the bag. Full health to dead in the duration of a death coil. If you consider Havoc wasn’t mentioned this is potentially 2x.
Because they land effectively at the same time, I would say this is objectively the highest Burst possible. Where other classes can do more damage over a longer window, like mage can do close to probably 500k in a fully stacked alter.
You’ll get 95% of the damage on a human, 90% of the damage on any other race.
Runner up is probably fire mage or arms warrior or Enhance. (Afaik nobody is playing fire but I think their deep freeze pyro spam is very strong on paper.)
I’m just talking strictly PVE. Bust all CDs, trinkets, everything. What would kill groups / single targets fastest and easiest.
