Best addon for incoming heals?

I’ve seen raid videos where incoming heals show up on Blizzard raid frames- does anyone know the best addon or weakaura to accomplish this?

LibHealComm provides heal prediction to other addons…

I’m not sure how to get it to work with the default Blizzard frames but the link I pasted there has a list of compatible addons that you might try. I think Grid is fairly straightforward to use, but there’s lots of options.

Grid2 has options for that.

I use ElvUI and it has it built in.

Vuhdo has this built in too - also shield tracking for priests

The comments are posting far too heavy and detailed addons you absolutely do not need.

You dont need Elv UI or grid 2 or any of that crap.

“healbarsclassic - Hotfix” very light simple addon.

Use that. Youll be good to go brother.

Cell is good, that’s probably what they’re using. It also changes the raid frames to look like world first retail UI. It also shows active buffs and debuffs with a timer on the frames, and details missing party buffs.

use cell, and mouseover macro everything if you want to be a good healer.

I like healbot. It’s easy.

Try a few, almost all will use the LibHealComm as Tubby mentioned. If you find one you like use it, otherwise look at Grid2, it’s probably the most customizable and flexible of any of them, so a bit more complex.

If you go with Grid2, I also recommend clique, which allows you to bind spells to your key clicks.

I used https:// www.curseforge .com/wow/addons/healbarsclassic-hotfix,

and have used HealCommClassic but I think that hasnt been updated since classic.

the best addon that one can have is situational awareness. Things like casting animations, sounds, visual indicators.

all of this stuff is in the game and if you just practice noticing these things you dont need ANY addons.

Default UI since 2004 ftw!

There are no sounds or casting animations which will tel you who is casting what on what person, since most people don’t actually change targets to who they are healing. The default UI honestly is pretty horrible from a healing standpoint in anything where healing is a challenge, and where you might need to manage mana more appropriately, not that this usually impacts a whole lot of fights in classic, but it becomes more important in harder raids like you find in TBC and beyond. Beyond that the Blizzard UI is poorly designed, taking up way too much space, and poorly positioned.

healing is braindead easy. No addons are need for anything if you actually know the game

No it’s not, and it’s hilarious a warrior, the reason healing is hard says this. Most healer threads are talking about how dumb wars are RN lol.

yes, define me by my forum avatar! Forget the fact I’ve mained paladin since 2004. Just admit you aren’t capable of playing the game without addons. healing is easier than tanking thats for sure

Honestly tanking isn’t that hard especially in most raids, there aren’t exactly lot of mechanics in most fights in WOW, so most fights they simply stand their spaming their rotation like a warrior just face rolling to high parses, you will actually be jumping around a lot more on a healer assuming you simply don’t have to many healers, but really depends on the fights, as some fights like Patch, you sit their mindlessly spamming the same heal over and over on the same tank. That said most roles really aren’t that hard, you simply need to know your rotations.

I do question your knowledge though whey you claim you can do everything based on the UI, when this whole thread is about something the UI can’t do and which is actually relatively important for healers to see.

Tanking you can beeffectively with base ui and max rank skills. Heals you have to oay attention to 5+ bars, have mouse overs to be effective, multiple ranks of spells, and then addon. Admit you get carried.

its called paying attention, picking priority targets just like the first aid quest taught us
cancel your cast if you see they were healed. completely unnecessary to see who is casting on who.

if you have slow heals and miss alot of those opportunities maybe your main role should be constantly casting big heals on the tank when he gets chunked and canceling the cast when not needed.

if you are a druid either heal the tank with rank 4 healing touch or rejuv people

none of this crap is hard enough to demand the use of an addon, and in fact relying on these addons makes you worse at the actual game. THIS GAME IS SO EASY!

I’ve been using the addon ClassicHealPrediction from curse forge for this functionality using default blizz frames. It works as advertised.

paladin and druid are some of my favorite classes… you dont need what you think you need. Cleared naxx back in 2006 btw before the whole game was solved… Keep chasing what I did years ago by downloading every addon you think will give you the edge. I promise you you will not feel fulfilled once you have full T3
