We can see the metrics for rated pvp. Casual is just as good as ever.

I agree about rated, the number of gladiators shows the decline, but unrated isn’t something easily known since fast queues just means both sides are queuing evenly. I know the data exists but I didn’t see it in a google seatch, do you have a source on that? Not disagreeing, just curious.

Better queues than other expansions. Plus we have the epic, unrated and brawl queues.

I don’t think better queues mean better participation, look at how things were in WoD where horde queues were almost instant, but I suppose it could be argued that so long as you’re getting matches the system is functional. I remember looking up BG stats when people would claim uneven wins for either side and they would list how many BGs were actually run, I would be interested in how that data is trending if you ever come across it.

I do feel that a certain type of BG player is less likely to queue now than they were under the old gearing system and that putting gearing into the PvE side may have increased BGs for another type of player. Maybe just a scenario of I’m on the taking away end to feed a greater number, in which case there probably isn’t any possible future in PvP for me. It’s too bad, I used to like casual PvP like you seem to.

It hasn’t changed. Bgs are still team vs team over objectives.

It was definitely like that on alliance side when I used to play BGs, but horde side was better at following strategies. Calling BGs was a big part of the fun of them for me.

Idk how to quote your reply but it was well said and in MoP I had like 6 different active daily alts. Even in WoD i did. Now most of my characters are still lvl 100 b/c I just don’t see a purpose in level’ing them since there is no pvp vendor at max level for me to choose what to buy first, like the old days, sometimes you’d want to get the Weapon right away, or where you wanted to get the 2 or 4 set bonus.

I know it sounds weird but that is just my “thinking” now-days with WoW/PvP

Just give us PvP vendors already. Stop being so obstinate. Let me spend Conquest on gear that I can choose. Why would I want to work toward boots that I don’t need?
