Anyone who thinks that guilds, any guilds regardless of how popular, well known or infamous aren’t dealing with shrinking recruitment pools are smoking the good stuff.
I’ve seen what kind of raiders from guilds that have top speedruns for US, progress, ect are left with recruiting on servers and it’s not great. Guilds are basically sitting and waiting for these dad guilds struggling on 8/10 progression to finally die so they can scoop up their hunters, warlocks and shaman and everyone else transfers to a mega server to find a new home.
Horde benediction isn’t necessarily losing anyone, but they definitely aren’t gaining anyone.
I leveled two horde on benediction at tbc launch but left shortly after, i picked benediction because it was about 50/50 and balanced pvp servers are the most fun to play on. So now if i wanted to play I have two options, pay $25 per character to transfer to faerlina or level again on faerlina. Neither option is attractive, but the worst part is playing on a pvp server only to never run into the other faction in the out world, what’s the point? Blizz could have done something about it too, not hard to add faction queues if balance falls more than 60/40, if queues alone dont work start giving some tangible benefits extra xp/currency etc until factions reach the 60/40 threshold. I guess that $25 transfer helps boost their revenue too much for them to give a flying fluff.
