Bene and Faerlina

Why did the horde and alliance segregate to 2 separate PvP servers?

Why allow the player base to effectively turn PvP servers into PvE ones? Not sure why Blizz doesn’t just have a cap for each faction.

We could probably have 4 awesome medium sized PvP servers but instead we have this mess.

When a big server is 60/40 (which what Herod was), the lesser faction can feel it. Alliance getting camped, can’t do dungeons because of summoning… Basically pvp stuff.

So alliance all left and left horde on their own.

People want pvp servers but they also want to be the majority faction on it

And the same happened vice versa where horde was outnumbered

Doesn’t feel that way anymore. I play ally on Faerlina and most hordies just wanna PvE from what I can tell. I actually enjoy being the smaller faction, lots of targets running around without PvP trinkets since they rarely see us.

I just want a little more balance because our AH sucks and obviously the queues are a mess atm.

They want to level right NOW. Wait till most are 80. Then you’ll start to feel it. When your the minority faction, there will always 2 for your 1.

People hate dying in the open world.

Yeah this is probably true, but even the month of prepatch I played didnt seem so bad, I guess cause everyone was in AV, gold farming, or leveling a DK.

Auto-segregation or self-segregation is the separation of a religious, ethnic or racial group from other groups in a country by the group itself naturally.

Because no one really wants to do world PvP on a PvP server. Players nowadays say the only reason they roll them is to increase their chances of getting decent arena partners. PvP servers are wishful thinking from a bygone era. Look at retail. People eventually found them to be so intolerable that Blizzard had to make Warmode a thing. Modern players believe it’s only PvP if it’s completely consensual, anything else is strictly griefing. So, that’s where we’re at.

Because people that came from dead servers want to insure it doesn’t happen again. With that said, a 50/50 balanced server would cut the amount of potential players to play with in half because server limits. I’m sure the people on grobb constantly are concerned about the balance. If world pvp is an important factor for you, the number of servers are severely limited, the time investment require to put into this game you can’t blame people who just join the majority.

Then they should play on a PvE realm. This was my whole point. The factions divided in such a way on 2 separate PvP realms that they will almost never WPvP. These players should have just played on a PvE server.

maybe instead of 100% locking a server lock it to the underdog side to keep things even. most the servers are 99% horde or 99% ally and thats not cool. I wanted world pvp.

Not asking for 50/50 balance, just a cap for each faction. Say 10k each. This would help queue times and potentially make people want to play the other faction. So the splits might be 80/20 or 90/10 not 30k horde / 100 alliance like on Faerlina.

Most of the player base is fine with a heavily skewed faction server.

Join horde benediction, it’s a great time. It’s playing the game on hard mode.

Great idea! Get more people to join the horde there and wait in line 7+ hours to play on a faction with barely enough people to run Kara during TBC lol.

Once a server gets to one side mega server status you start to get the PvE rerollers.

There’s no solution at the moment because the biggest servers are locked. And I don’t see a resurgence on any of the mega servers and/or blizzard doing anything to the current state of server populations other than just locking them and offering free transfers.

Most metasheep don’t really want WPvP. They just want to feel elite for being on a PvP server.

But the best raiding guilds are on PvP servers.

All the alliance transferred off to Benediction over the course of TBC launch
