Meh i had my druid join necrolords. The irony is funny and I like the ability. Despised the fairy land one
Did you actually real the entire post? It does sound allegedly super sexist.
Your guild leader can eat my whole butt with a side of my taint. You’re better off elsewhere.
eat my whole butt…this cracked me up sooo much
None of what you said changes the fact that soulbinds provide flexibilty within your covenant, nor does it change the same age-old reality that static numbers don’t account for nearly as much as people hope they do.
Ian reminds me of the lex luther of the gaming community
I make it point to choose the weakest covenant for my toons, which coincidently is also the ability I liked the most. Cause I know blizz well enough. When they tune them ill be a getting a massive buff to mine while the ones so concerned over trivial stuff like the supposed “best” will get nerfed. Lol ill be far in my covs story and renown, they’ll be starting from scratch
and this is why I <3 LFR even with ALL its problems.
Depending on role I could see this, some covenant’s are really that good. In the grand-scheme of an entire raid / dungeon it might be a few % difference but for a particular pull or encounter it could REALLY make the difference.
I’m laughing at all the people who fell for the bait.
I giggled so hard at this
No matter how much I read the entire post I cant help but focus on sexiest sorry.
I really hope you filed some kind of report over that. That sounds like the kind of conversation that rightly should have him looking at a ‘banned from the game’ screen on his next log in attempt.
That noted.
I think these choices are a bit over-rated.
I am on my spec’s “ideal” choice, and I use my ability in a lot of heavy add pulls and it doesn’t seem to be all that much on impact.
What put me high up in my guild’s DPS is just doing the rest of my stuff right.
Getting my legendary and learning how to use it - that had a much bigger impact than the covenant ability.
Maybe it’s different for locks. I dunno. I suspect not.
Attaching role power and role type to covernents which should be a storyline/lore and cosmetic choice, messes with the whole choice situation.
Ion arrogantly thought people would love trading power for looks and cosmetics and lore. Actually im wrong, they knew players would hate it, otherwise no rip cord would exist. Like with corruption fixing azurite power (it didnt just made it all worse) they arrogantly moved forward…thinking players would LOVE sacrificing endgame power for lore/cosmetics.
Really is any of this better than just giving the classes their damn skill trees back and having a normal tiered gear chase where there isnt a bunch of side dish power systems, in no way connected to gear, to muddy the waters for what should be a simple and clear to the player endgame progression path to power.
Kyrian vs Night Fae basically boils down to “how much are you going to play Destro?”
Both are about the same in ST, Kyrian is slightly ahead in a perfectly played Patchwerk. The difference comes from AoE/Cleave where NF pulls ahead for Aff/Demo and Kyrian for Destro due to their ability to Havoc cleave it.
That is the kind of crap guild that never succeeds at anything anyway.
Its honestly not for any kind of content. The extra or lack there of of percentage is so miniscule that its not even worth paying attention to. For example I played the dark arbiter play style all through bfa. I was mocked heavily for it. The moment I got better gear they shut thier mouths. So my point is it’s not what covenant you chose, gear will always be the deciding factor for any role.
I don’t think you can report things said in discord. I’m still rather shocked this was said it was completely out of character for him. He had never remotely made a sexist comment before this and the fact it was over a covenant choice just for heroics has me baffled to this moment.
Leave the guild bam fixed your problem. Not reading a mini novel cause you don’t know that other guild exist that can suit you better
I think you missed the bit where I quoted “kyrian is best for affliction”, which is what we’re talking about. Not destro.
And the main raiding benefit that makes Night Fae better than any other covenant isn’t the tiny DPS discrepancy, it’s the mobility of blink fox. An in-combat blink/travelform/sprint for warlocks beats anything else. Night fae would have to be substantially worse DPS to make it not worth it.
