Bellular pretty much gets it

Blizzard basically ripped this tower idea from FFXIV, which has 2 different versions of it Palace of the Dead, and Heaven on High.

They did have a timer in FFXIV that was to prevent people from waiting around for buffs to be up. Now the way it worked is the lower floors you didn’t really even notice the timer due to it starting off easy. But by the time you got to the upper higher floors you started to notice it and had to play quickly else you could run out of time. Stuff like waiting for cds before a boss was still possible but people wouldn’t sit around and wait for them on regular mob pulls.

I think you do need some sort of timer to prevent waiting around forever.

…and the dang simpletons that regurgitate his stuff.

My word.

I do like the idea of the domino effect the farther in you go

How so?

“This could kill Torghast” -his opinion abut Torghast
“tread carefully” - what he wants Blizzard to do given his opinion
“WoW Shadowlands” - more context of the video

Seems pretty informative thumbnail for what the video will be about and matches the title of the video. I don’t think it’s ridiculous.

Shocking but many people have come to these same conclusions without first watching the video.

‘This change could ruin Shadowland’s only good feature.’

Fixed the title.

Pretty much this.
Remember when we had a Plants vs Zombies mini game near Hillsbrad?
Now make it mandatory for legendary components.

I mean the game has become much worse over the years so it tracks that critics’ critique would become more negative

Having played it, the torments provide an annoyance, not a challenge. 3 of them are a pseudo timer, in that it gets progressively harder as the timer ticks up. The other 3 are merely an attentiveness check, posing no threat whatsoever if you are paying attention and have food in your bags.

With a persistent, annoying timer soft enrage mechanic.

The large, over the top, controversial wording with the jailer and a crooked SL logo is informational to you?
Something informative would say something like “My opinion on the proposed Torghast changes”. This is informative, as it describes he’s going to talk about his opinion on the subject matter.
“This could kill torghast!!” is obviously to nag at people’s curiosity, which is baiting people into clicking the video. hence clickbait.

I apologize but I am not watching anyone’s video that do not have a written summary (and even then it is unlikely).

Number 7 will SHOCK you!

It’s a soft timer guys. It isn’t just about cooldown nonsense, it’s about encouraging build diversity too. Everyone will just go tanky to reduce the chance of dying since they’d have infinite time to grind.

Right, just don’t AFK mid-run to take a shower and you’ll be fine.

No. They suck. They should be removed, as soon as humanly possible, and replaced with something that either actually increases the difficulty, or actually encourages you to go faster (rather than punishing you for going slower), depending on the design intent.

Torghast appears to be a subpar single player godmode experience with little to no actual challenge. Worse is it will be mandatory for high end raiding

The adds that spawn on 2 of the torments will kill you if you are afk for ~5 minutes. The fire DoT on one of the torments will kill you if you are AFK for 10 minutes at the 1% level, 5 minutes at the 2% level, 2 minutes at the 3% level, etc.

Given the dungeon is supposed to be endless, I’d like to be able to use the bathroom occasionally. The safe zones at the start of each floor aren’t safe, patrols will aggro you while you are standing in them.

punishing large parts of the player base over the druthers of the few…or the one…is what bliz does best anymore.
I remember when they were a new company and made fun games just for the fun.
This bliz aint that bliz.

This is an oversimplification. It’s accurate for floors 1-18, which is the easiest possible run.

Starting at 19 with no powers is like trying to solo a heroic dungeon in leveling blues. It’s very difficult and requires you to be methodical and careful.
