Why are you bringing this nonsense to the wow forums, like we are suppose to care about it?

Take the problem to authorities to blizzard directly. We dont want to hear about your drama. I cant help but wonder if you have issues to.

I had a guy from EQ find several of my other internet accounts and told me it was a thing I do when writing that let him follow me. I got rid of the habit and still think about it even now. Guess some people can find your little hallmarks if they know one or two of your handles on the net.

Blizzards protocol for dealing with stalkers is for the player to:

  1. Not Respond to them at all.
  2. Put them on ignore.
  3. If they bypass the ignore, submit a ticket for ongoing harassment.

Crazy world we live in where this occurs. I will update everyone as the story unfolds in its entirety. My ticket has been submitted and I will await a reply from a GM.

Yeah man, like the others have been saying. If this guy is in the same state as you, contact police and potentially apply for a restraining order.

Have his brother also get in touch with loved ones and encourage him to go to therapy. This is the type of person who may go and do something really stupid.

I have 2 questions…

  1. How does he know the server you chose?
  2. If you play on a PVP server…why not play on a PVE server where he can’t PVP you all day? Also make a character name you never thought of.

My younger cousin was death-threatoned a few years ago, in-game but the offender meant outside of the game - when he reported the person, Blizzard turned it around and put full blame on my cousin, and did nothing to the player that threatoned him.

So, either they’re NOT even 2% of the company that they used to be, or their Gamemasters are complete bollocks at their job, and no asset to Blizzard what so ever.

Also, the jist of it was to the effect of, my cousin made a joke about Teldrassil being burned down, and it apparently angered this guy running an all night elf player/character guild. What ever “Gamemaster” that looked over the report, completely ignored the death-threat and said my cousin was the cause of the trouble.
Dark Iron Dwarf characters run that joke in tue game with /silly, but it’a apparently not cool for a player to joke about it - try hard RP’ers can send death threats, and Activison-Blizzard DO NOT care.

Here’s the twist: OP is the insane one and this is a case of pvp happened.

  2. This is not about PVP as much as it is someone tracking specific players with a maxed player in hopes of maliciously ruining their gaming experience. We asked blizzard if they would do name changes due to the harassment but they stated that name changes are not allowed currently in classic.

UPDATE

Shortly after the “incident” we submitted tickets with the perpetrators chat log of their intentions that he had sent to a mutual friend. A GM responded back stating that he would definitely look into it as his actions were violating the TOS but would not be able to tell us the results.

I am happy to report that the player in question did not log into his account for 24hrs and has not been harassing us anymore. Obviously we do not know if he received any type of ban but we are happy to report whatever was done was enough to curb his excessive trolling for now. So thank you Blizz.

Unfortunately, some news from his family is that due to recent legal proceedings against him he had to file for bankruptcy and has been creating bank accounts in other family members names without their knowledge. This is unfortunate and I wish him and his family the best even with all of his online harassment.

So the moral of the story folks, don’t harass others online and if you are being harassed make sure to take screen shots and submit a ticket!

Oh trust me Kizaki we did not, but he was very determined and we have friends in common so the saying, “Loose lips sink ships”, almost sunk our leveling ! lol. Gladly Blizz handled the issue and we are free to play and enjoy the game.

I don’t mean to put you on the spot, but this has to be said.

At no point should an individual be able to dictate where another can play and in what environment they wish to play in. The OP in this sense has every right to play on a PVP server with the character names he wishes to use. No one has a right to take that away. No one should have the ability to take that away.

We as a society have a duty to protect those rights of each other.

Turn in To blizzard for harrasemt. Give in-game time of when it happens. Do it before it goes into your real life. Which also blizzard can and will help police with.
