Being nice to new players is a key for Classic's success!

Old WoW was a superb game. However, if I think back to what really got me hooked on it, it was, bar none, the players. Period. Mostly the helpful ones, but even the trolls added flavor.

The first time I played for more than 3 hours in a sitting was due to a random level 45 ushering me around both continents. It was my first toon, I was in Darkshore (so level 13ish I think), and he offered to help with a quest. After that was done, he asked if I wanted to get some future flight paths. It was late at that point and I said, eh why not. I’ll grab a few and be done with it.

Well, “grab a few” turned into 20-30, transversing both continents, getting my swords skill learned from Master Woo in stormwind, many many deaths, and new worlds discovered. After I finished, it had went by so fast and was 7am in the morning.

That was my first real introduction to an MMORPG, and what some of the community was like. Nothing really compares.

Trust me, those types of players will be plentiful, and they love to help others. Be prepared for many great memories.

Hmm. Maybe. Telling someone where Mankrik’s wife is would be kind or only if you like escort them or both? Just wanting to make sure I understand haha.

I guess I’ve been less kind than I thought over all of these years!.. I AM A MONSTER!!!:sob::sob::sob:

Eh. There aren’t going to be many new players in classic or retail

Troll.

Because people don’t switch characters

You don’t say.

Deal with it

If you really want to be nice to others, play a heal bot yourself instead of spamming “LF1M HEALZ!”, which thanks to right click report feature, I’ll easily be able to report people for spamming when they spam that more than 3 times per hour.
/evilgrin

Why do people feel the need to tell people how to act? Retail doesn’t fail or succeed because people are nice…

Three times in an hour?? Is that the threshold? I guess it will be like when I played vanilla, then… Outside of any cities getting random whispers to heal just about anything…

The good old /who priest /w xxxx want to heal SM?

I was a Druid, but yes. I was one of the earliest people on my server to get a complete D1 set (Wildhear Raiment) and was in a top 3 guild on my server. I got a lot of whispers haha.

Not gonna lie - I did the same thing on my Hunter /who 58-60 Priest and Paladin and Druid. If you weren’t in an instance… I wouldn’t be afraid to send a tantalizing whisper…

Over 25 years later and I still don’t know how to use the three seashells.

I want to play WOW Classic but if I want to try to maintain character continuity I’ll have to figure out how to adapt a Worgen druid to pre-Cataclysm. Or I guess I could start a human paladin and be super original.

Absolutely, OP. Once I get a decent level I’ll spend a fair amount of time in lowbie areas giving out bags, buffs, and helping people in any way I can.

More like a player who has been playing since 2005, quit but is taking advantage of posting with no sub.

Sit down young one and let the adults speak.

I still remember one on my server. Scoobydoo, or any form of the name could not get a guild invite. Everyone knew better.

Get over yourself.
the /ignore feature has been around since the beginning.
use it so your little feelings don’t get hurt.
