Beginner friendly class for my gf?

My gf has been watching me play wow since I rejoined the game about 4 months ago and wants to join me. About a month ago I had her play on the free trial, but she was, completely lost (exile reach starting zone). I remember being super overwhelmed back in the day when I started so I understand this isn’t a very beginner friendly game.

I recommend her to make a hunter since it’s a good beginner friendly class, but it didn’t click with her. What is a good beginner friendly class that isn’t super complicated? I’m leaning towards fury warrior. I think it’s easy enough to grasp as a beginner.

Thoughts?

Try a warlock.

All the advantages of a hunter, only its actually fun to play.

Try a demon hunter.

Try a (removed Hunter) Mistweaver Monk, they’re fun and they roll. THEY ROLL!

Also, GF play healers only. Such is the rule of WoW.

Well you should probably recommend one that fits with your current class/spec. I would say a BM hunter, as they are fairly easy to use to get started as most of their actual game play is done thru the pet itself.

They already said no to hunter

In all fairness bm hunter is the go-to for most beginners

Yeah, fury warrior is a very simple class with high survivability. The only downside is that it has a high APM requirement.

I didn’t read :frowning:

Fury Warrior / Frost DK / Havoc DH are all low ability class specs.

I started a paladin because I wanted the blood elf transmog, and thus far it has been pretty simple for solo PvE.

I have a lot of abilities I don’t use much and let’s me focus on 3-4 main ones to learn a habitual rotation.

I found other classes to drop consistent/necessary abilities much faster, so the learning curve was higher.

There are also add-one that can help you with rotations and what to press for some classes.

I mean, if BM Hunter is off the table the next thing down is DH…

Paladins are beginner easy.

What does she like? Has she played any Fantasy Games before to give her an idea of classes she’s interested in?

Melee can be intense with all the spell affects and stuff on the ground, so maybe she’d like clothie? Lock, Mage and Shadow Priest are fun.

She’ll be good at whatever class she really enjoys, regardless of whether they are considered an ‘easy beginner class.’

Good luck to her! I hope she has fun.

Well damn, thanks for pointing it out

Havoc is still pretty easy, if you are not playing the momentum build focused on the left and center of the tree. If you go hard core down the right, it is more throw glaive focused and relies upon more passive damage and less dependent upon lining up cool downs or holding your rotation up.

Give her outlaw rogue. Pistol makes funny noise

back in the days all priest healers were thought to be someone’s girlfriend.

maybe they were onto something who knows :person_shrugging:

i know because i rolled a nice dwarf priest and everyone teased me :stuck_out_tongue:

Hunter
Demon hunter
Ret pally
Enhance shaman
Fury warrior
Holy priest

BM Hunter.

Stop saying DH, their DF rework made them one of the most difficult melee to play right. If you don’t know why, you’re not playing your DH correctly.
