The 80s optimized leveling via dungeon grinding. They literally just spam dungeons from 70 to 80 using the same group for the whole experience. These are the people who played in the Wrath Classic beta and/or on a Wrath private server extensively. Some of these people even formed full Sunwell/Brutal Gladiator geared 3-man parties to optimize the XP even further. It’s insane!

Just commit to leveling 18 hours a day. If you can muster sitting there questing straight for that long of course you’ll be 80 by now.

I feel like it does seem to take a long time to get to 80.
However I am happy that it takes awhile that means it keeps me going more. instead of getting done fast then grinding gear then waiting for naxx.
i have been having fun with my friends like in the old days its nice.

Some people just power through it, they just don’t stop questing and killing mobs ,other people like the dude that made it to level 80 in 9 hours allegedly exploited the game and it’s been exposed that he did use a bug to exploit the game to get to 80 in 9 hours, I’m not here to debate that I’m only repeating what I’ve seen on the internet and on videos and people that have been talking about it so the information is not mine I’m just relaying info.

It goes fast IMO. By the time i had gotten the 150 quests achievement, borean is not boring, i was about to hit 74. Half way through dragonblight now and 25% into 75. I know i could be spamming dungeons for better xp and wouldnt have to deal with Questie refusing to track and whatnot but i like to go ny own pace sometimes.

Exploiting?
My 4 man group ran Nexus 31 times over 8 hours.
AK 39 times over 13 hours.
And halls 24 times over 7 hours.
Is that exploiting or did we just play better and harder than you did?

dungeon spam in quick routes. Questing is extremely slow in comparison. After finishing every single quest in Borean and Howling i’m only 74.3
Few expoilted the majority your seeing are people that just put the time in.
The time to 80 is around 30-40 hours they just did that all at once vs spread out. It’s quite easy to of played that time since launch its in fact past almost twice now.

Questing was proven on the beta to in fact not be that much slower unless doing it with 3 or 4 to optimize exp. It’s comparable assuming limited comp which even on the mega servers the packs are quite spread to make that limited comp true. To be exact it was found that questing was faster outside those optimized groups.
This dose assume a good questing path not blindly questing.

Don’t worry about what they’re doing. If someone wants to no life it that’s on them, then they’ll complain about being out of content.

I got fully paid for my run to 80, didn’t have to take a single day of PTO either…
Just get a real job. Laptop propped up so I stay green, run dungeons all day.
