I owned four guilds since they added that system, I did the same thing removed everyone, and added my army of alts it sucks, but you gotta be on top of this stuff.
During BfA I had a character in a guild that was very active and did a lot of raiding and PvP. At the end of the expansion the GM decided he wanted some time off for health reasons and passed duties to other players, but kept control (he was kind of a control freak). 6 months later the guild was dead. Thatâs one possible result of making sure no one can be promoted to gm.
oh i have a doozy. i had breast cancer and was off game for the surgery, chemo, etc, for about 4 months. one of my officers dethroned me, robbed the guild bank then locked everyone out of it, changed the tabard and the rank titles to insults, demoted everyone else and then quit. he hasnt been back for over 10 years, the guild still exists but i cant get it back because he demoted me. lol
All you can do is to start yourself a new guild and make sure you always log in at least once every 90 days. The system of dethroning has been around for ages now, itâs nothing new. It was put in place so GM couldnât just leave for months on end and leave the guild hanging and its members without a leader when they put in the effort to build a guild up to begin with.
Blizzard will not make them give it back or any items or gold it had, when they took over anything in the guild became theirs to do with as they pleased. If they were a really low rank, more than likely someone else took control of the guild before them, and then turn around and passed them the guild after they were finished with it.
Either way there is nothing Blizzard will do about it. Just chalk it up to experience.
I wish this would happen on my end. I donât know what type of leader you are but I had a really toxic guild leader in my past and had an alt join that guild just for the off chance I can get this type of revenge. It would be hilarious to slowly kill the guild in front of them.
Itâs not theft, though. Upon assuming leadership of a guild you acknowledge that your extended absence forfeits your right as leader. Provided thereâs somebody to take it, of course.
My understanding is that the GM has to login regularly. I donât remember what the timeframe is, either 60 or 90 days, of the GM being inactive, which then makes the guild abandoned and leaves it open for another guild member to claim it. I think they have to make an attempt to contact the GM first before any action will be taken on their request. So I think you are probably SOL, if youâve been inactive for 11 months, no matter what the reason why.
if you take something that ISNT yours and the rightful owner ask for it back âŠit IS theft.
please dont tell me your that kind of person to defend this crap
similar thing happened to me, I went through all this trouble to start a guild and I was gone for like 4 or 5 months and logged in and I am a âbasic userâ and no longer the GM of my own guild. I appointed NO officers. The game is totally garbage now.
comprehension problems?
they said their PC was down.
noâŠits NOT the fault of the poor they are poorâŠand yes, it IS theft to take something that aint yours and refuse to give it back when its rightful owner asks you for it
