Been almost 2 days now and Blizzard still has NOT replied to my support ticket

So I submitted a ticket to Blizzard so the primary name on my account, and the current region locked to the account could be changed. I even uploaded a front and back picture of my ID to my appeal to no avail. The estimated wait time was about a day and unfortunately its been over a day now. My request is so simple but still hasn’t been attended to. I even tried looking into live chat and I had zero luck. Ticket Number: US86115087

Unfortunately ticket times right now are quite long due to a number of contributing factors. Generally tickets are taking upwards of 7-ish days for turnaround. But! In your favor, I did see one of our SFAs mention that for billing and account matters, they’re averaging more on the 1-2 day spectrum.

Just a couple of things to note - the account likely cannot be changed to a new name unless it is changing from legal guardian to a minor child, now of age, or a name change of your own of the legal variety. It cannot be done in a fashion of someone giving you the account and you putting it in your name (outside of the parent/guardian to child variety). As for the region, say if you’re trying to switch an EU account to NA or vice versa? That is not possible.

So when i go to my battlenet account and under PERSONAL INFORMATION it says i can change my country/region but its grayed out. That’s what i meant by that. Not sure if we we’re talking about the same thing or not. It allows me to change the first name but not the last name :frowning:

The last name stays on the account unless you submit change of name paperwork to show its been updates, like when someone gets married or otherwise changes their name.

You can change the account location, but that wont mean your actual wow account will operate in a new region. So for example, if you move from the US to Swedan. You can update your personal info to state your in Swedan, it may change what services and extras you can purchase, but you wont be able to change the wow licence to EU. For that you need to repurchase the game with an EU licence, nothing will transfer and it will be an additional fee to play on eu servers.

Gottcha! Yes, that is usually changeable for region. A lot of the time we get people here who wish for their account to switch from a NA license to EU (or in reverse), which isn’t possible. For your region change, there looks to be a self-service tool mentioned in a support article. Perhaps that’ll do the trick for you.

As for the name, you didn’t clarify if you’re updating your own name in the system or if the account in question belonged to someone else that you’re now trying to take over?

so i tried the self-service option for changing my region and it always redirects me to contact support. As far as the name goes i’m just changing my own name in the system if that makes sense

You can only change a first name without documentation of a name change, such as marriage, divorce, adoption etc.

When that happens you also need to provide the legal documents to support it.

I have the same issue. region change and they havent responded to the ticket i sent 3 days ago… please let me know how it went for u

Ticket times are around 7 days currently.

Are you wanting to move characters across region?

If so - not something that can be done.

I’d recommend self reporting that guild name too. It’s not really appropriate and I’d hate to see your account get actioned seeing that you’re the GM who chose the name.
