The bot ban wave went out of May 2015 which was 2 months before the rated ladder you had been posting
Ban wave and the company shutdown was legion.

No it didn’t. Cheating did affect rated, but not full on bot controlled toons. Again that was randoms not rated.

Legion had more people due to more people playing Legion than WoD. WoD had the worse content stagnation in the history of the game.
