Bear tank = dumpster fire

Balance druid is in a great place performance wise once you get your 4pc. It’s just a dot spec now and most of us who used to play it don’t like that

I have 4 piece and had it before changes. Damage has taken a big hit in raid for sure. In mythics, I’m seeing mobs die too fast for ramp up to become effective, and single target is terrible on bosses.
I’m not sure what you feel puts them in a good place. But even if you think it is (because of 4 piece), that shows that balance druid is not in a good place since we NEED 4 piece to be effective in any way. How about when that tier set is gone? Are we just playing the borrowed power from tier set game? Cus thats weak as hell.

I also see you got ksm by running as guardian. I don’t see any boomkin runs in m+ on your page. Raiding I see 1/8 heroic, so you haven’t been through that yet. You’ll notice I do actually play boomkin. I understand that it’s a dot class (an unwieldy, clunky mess of one with build/spend, eclipse, and weak CDs mixed in)

Do explain how me not tanking takes away from the fact that everyone should KNOW that failing to do a mechanic results in death in higher keys?? “I got 1 shot because i didn’t leave the death circle. Bear is bad”…really??

Uhh…maybe you should play the other specs first. Everyone is doing well with the exception of Guardian

Then everyone else resets too. With such things as tier and embellishments and what not, classes are balanced and designed with those things in mind. You’ll notice a lot of changes to classes through updates seem to correlate directly with 4 pc tier sets.

You try to speak on tanking as if you have experience, you don’t. Simple as that.

I have played the other specs. Most of my play is on balance.

What % of players run +20 keys. Saying it’s balanced because at +20 you finally get to do something is exactly the opposite of balanced.

Noone else has the absolute reliance on 4 piece that balance does.

I tihnk its worth noting how Lunar Beam…a final row talent does less healing on a far longer cd and less efficiently that FR.

When comparing Lunar Beam to FR you will see how extremely bad a talent it is…not to mention its placing.

FR- 32% over 3 sec (+20% through talent), 18sec cd.
LB- roughly 22% over 8 sec, 1 min cd…a final row talent!

Ferals damage got nerfed because of their 4 piece.

And 20 is the top end of where they Balance. Just because you’re doing bad with the spec doesn’t mean it’s bad.

You’ve tried Resto out a little. That’s it. Haven’t touched Feral nor Guardian.

Do I need to switch over to Guardian and start tanking 15s for you? Would look real bad on your end wouldn’t it?

Go read some guides and do a little better. Right now the power rankings are Resto > Balance > Feral > Guardian

Yeah feral was nerfed, but (and this is the BIG difference). Feral doesn’t NEED it’s 4 piece for the spec to work reasonably well, whereas balance does. 4pc on balance is what makes them even close to acceptable. Without it the spec completely falls apart.

You wanna tank some 15’s? I’m down.

Yea. We are very reliant on 4pc. And I don’t know about raids, stats show we are pretty middle of the pack there even with 4pc. But balance gets ranked S/A tier every week for M+. Us and shadow priest are consistently the top 2 ranged DPS on subcreation every week.

So…how bout those 15’s?

Thats been suggested a ton of times by a bunch of people. The problem is the percentage per stack. If you roll 2-3 stacks at once, thats only 10%-15% mitigation, which doesnt solve the issue. But if you put it a lot higher, say 10% per stack, it allows cheesing of certain mechanics with clever play.

Id rather the 5% per stack and our mastery effectiveness tripled.

But Damage Reflection @ 4% per stack is decent value and bear doesnt need too much more. they could do 5% for easier number calculations.

10% Reflection per stack is prob asking too much as that would bring us closer to what a warrior has.

Nothing saying they couldn’t put a diminishing return on the number of stacks. They giving us diminishing numbers in other areas/abilities.
Besides, really we shouldn’t be trying to give them the simplest “out” to fix this junk. We’ve been offering the simple solutions for months and we instead get an armor buff… because that totally fixes the problems right Blizz… :wink:

Bear tanking is working much better since the changes, top end players are reaching +25 now rather than +23, the other tanks are maxing out at +27. What this means is to get to +20 as a bear tank you need to get to 80% of where the top players are, for other tanks its 75%. With only a 5% difference in difficulty I would not expect any more sweeping changes but rather some tuning to the abilities that already exist.

except the over all performance ratio is such that Bears are going to have a harder time pushing any score via pugs.

odds are better taking a lower score Warrior over a higher score Bear. perception is seeping into the decision making. :dracthyr_sweat:

as for the “bears are reaching +25 now” consists of a single Bear in a Single run over the entire season. making up 0.3% of all tank representation in the +25 bracket.

They’re still trash, just a tiny bit less of garbage now than they were before. Also, blizzard, why can’t you just give us a full moon falling instead of a lunar beam talent? Like making a full moon falling down or crashing on enemies is actually cooler than a beam of light coming down on enemies.

I also think peopel forgot how a good group can fill in the gaps of a guardian…while the dps is also part of the “cap” on keys.

Its not like the tank is the sole reason why a group fails or succeeds, and I’d say the group carrying the bear tank in that +25 is worthy of olympic gold in something.

Using incarn just to spam FR aint exactly good gameplay either.
