Be CLEAR about the future of Classic

There are many players (myself included) that are sick of the “seasonal”, sick of the guaranteed death sentence the day they start.

IF you announce and launch a fresh Classic, please be clear about its future. Is it going to BC and Wrath again or is it merging with the current graveyard known as Classic Era?

So I ask you Blizzard, please be a bit more open, lay your cards out for the future. What are we jumping into? Let us use this knowledge to decide if we want to jump into this.

Not asking you to reveal the next “project” for Classic. Just tell us what the announced project will entail. What is its future?

exactly, we need to know the longevity plans for the servers. I don’t want to waste time playing if its just going to be another “season” or another server that goes to era again to die.

It’s crazy, I thought I liked TBC before it launched, but when it was gone I realize it’s neck and neck with vanilla for me. Wrath is trash, but I can just quit at the end of TBC.

After all these years of us coming from pservers to blizzard, seeing their capabilities and what all they’ve created, imagine being excited for this and thinking it’s going to be good. Imagine coming from where you come from, playing what all the rest of us played over the last 5 years and then saying this

I don’t think it’s going to happen personally. That sub drop throughout SOD will not go unnoticed by people writing checks.

Despite all the misunderstanding about SOM as a product, it’s essentially the first strike.

This is what I’d like to see to be quite honest. Some fresh Classic servers, unhindered by the other servers, EVER. That eventually goes into the next best thing WoW ever produced, TBC.

But first, we need Blizzard to stop lying about things like Cataclysm Classic was the most wanted next form of Classic, it wasn’t and your community knew it the moment you said it. Stop just doing s*** because your Devs or whomever THINKS that was the right next Classic thing to do, maybe it’s time to do what your community wants instead of making s*** up and trying to get people to think that was what they wanted.

Nothing can save sod, its got the worst problem of all… The bulk of the SoD players are rather vile and ruin what little of SoD is actually good.

i think a big problem is they have no idea how many servers they need. at lunch they habe a ton and then, as people stop playing, they start merging them leave alot of death servers ot a mega server when you lose your identity.
