Sorry hopefully this isn’t the wrong spot to post this - prior to the shadowlands delays, burning crusade timewalking was scheduled to happen a couple of weeks ago. This got turned into “battle for azeroth dungeon event” and burning crusade timewalking was pushed back a few weeks. Now it has completely vanished from the in-game calender, and we’re apparently skipping straight to wrath of the lich king timewalking on December 29th. Is this intended, ui bug maybe?
I’m thinking that the Shadowlands launch next week threw a sabot into the works.
I think a few things may have been rescheduled, Kolzi, but I’m not seeing anything specific calling it out.
If I hear anything I’ll be sure to update this thread.
i hope it isn’t cancelled!! i just got my warglaives pls don’t make me wait forever blizz
Please check Vrakthris, It was crushing to see TBC Time walking get moved once all the way to Decemeber but now its getting skipped all together? How many of us spend months farming glaives and have been waiting for this event to get our Tmogs. It’s so very disheartening
Please keep this updated.
Its one thing for us to farm up two low drop rate legendary items, and its quite another to then have us wait for an in game calendar event.
This has been moved twice now, it was slotted for late October, then was moved to Dec 1st. This is quite obviously due to how the expansion was delayed, but the player base has been patiently waiting for this event.
If you are going to tie this, and only this legendary to an event that is only twice a year, then you really should get all of your ducks in a row. Baiting the playerbase is wrong
Just so you are aware, Vrakthris is not a developer. He isn’t baiting anyone, he’s simply waiting for news from on high, as he indicated in the post you replied to.
If you would like it to be more often accessible, you will want to post constructively (such as how you think they could do it) in the Dungeons, Raids, and Scenarios forum where the people you want to see such feedback reside.
My comment wasn’t at the forum mod. It was at blizzard.
Maybe don’t read with malicious intent.
While that was precisely -100% what I was doing or aiming for, the same could be said for posting tone.
Good day.
Without any snark or tone, this is honestly not the forum to express your displeasure. This is Customer Support, not Customer Service. This is a forum for players to assist other players. There are no GMs or Devs here to see this, and they’re the only ones who can do anything about it.
The SFAs cannot ‘pass along’ the information. The only way you have your voice heard is to post in the General Discussion forum or your suggestion offered through the in-game suggestion tool.
I do recall when it comes to new expansion drops that the weekly events either go on hiatus entirely or just are all out of whack. It’s not done maliciously, mind you. Events were tossed up on the calendars without the new expansion drop in mind because it wasn’t exactly set into stone with the change in release dates. I may be wrong here but I believe they stop the events for a few weeks to give folks a chance to get into the new content before putting things back into rotation. It wouldn’t make much sense to immediately start a World Quest event when the majority of the population could still be leveling, or shoving in a Timewalking event when it seems like most everyone would rather be queueing up for the new dungeons. Also, Timewalking events give raid level rewards, so they probably want a few weeks cushion before those kick back in.
Of course, a lot of this is conjecture and what I think I remember from previous expansions and/or large patch drops. We haven’t even had a Timewalking event for a number of weeks now with the rotation already out of whack with the looming of Shadowlands. It will come about in time. I’m sorry it’s not when you would wish for it to happen, but the rotation has been off-kilter for a good bit already. Just have to keep an eye on things, and offer up your constructive criticism and feedback in the aforementioned places so the right people see it.
Got my final warglaive this morning and checked the calendar, was sad to see TBC timewalking gone. Please don’t make me wait months, blizz.
completed my set a few weeks ago to now see I won’t be able to even mog them for probably a year. lmfao.
Time walking and other weekly events are on pause until December 8th. No word on where in the cycle it will start.
From what I’ve been able to find out, traditionally I guess any scheduled Timewalking events around an expansion launch are canceled.
That is intended and from what I was told the events will pick up normally and continue the schedule. So if Burning Crusade Timewalking was cancelled and Wrath of the Lich king was next, Wrath will continue to be next. BC isn’t delayed and fills Wrath’s spot.
Sorry I don’t have better news, folks.
I like that, Wraith of the Lich King.
Anyhow, thank you for the update. While it isn’t want we wanted to hear, I guess there’s no changing it, as the weekly events are kinda set in stone unless something covers them up.
Added an “i” again did I? I’m just more inclined to type out wraith, than wrath.
okay im confused, does this mean after BC it will be CATA?
No, sounds like he’s saying timewalking will continue cycling as normal. Wrath is next.
Ekon’s got it right. Vrakthris is saying, that the normal pattern of calendar events does not stop progressing, and that some events are simply skipped due to the expansion releasing.
This means that BC Timewalking will be available the next time it comes into the cycle.
I have to say for some people who are saying this isn’t the right place to have this discussion. It’s called a Forum. I literally scrolled down the categories for Time Walk, Burning Crusade, or Black Temple. Sorry those options were not open. I also wrote about how frustrated I am about getting rid of the Burning Crusade Time Walk not once, but twice. There wasn’t a place for me to discuss this. It was my first post too.
