Got logged out of battlenet, still using the old mobile authenticator app and the codes do not work. I’ve tried about 10 times now and also clicked the resync button and it does not freaking work.
What do I do now? Still able to post on the forum, just can’t go into account settings or anything. Really should have kept producing those physical authenticators. I used one of those for 13.5 years with ZERO issues. I’ve been using this mobile garbage for 3-4 months I think, and now I can’t log into my freaking account.
Just garbage man, truly.
P.S. March 6th is when I started using the mobile authenticator. Not even 5 months and I’ve got a big issue now.
P.S.S Well, looks like I’m piss out of luck. My iphone 6s is not compatible with IoS 13 or whatever and I can’t download the battlenet app to try to use the “new” all in one authenticator.
Am I really losing my account to this? Seriously? Guess I’ll just sit here for a few hours trying to login and pray that it randomly fixes itself.
Is there anyone who can help me here? If I reset the authenticator, am I out of luck in attaching it again? I apparently can’t use the battlenet app version with my old phone so will I just no longer have an authenticator?
So I do the “Serial and Restore” option instead? Like, I have no idea what is going to happen here since Blizzard made some arbitrary changes and decided to force people into using the app, when a number of us can’t even download the app. Is the option to use the old authenticator app going to be available to me if I do either of these options to reset or remove it?
Is there seriously no way for me to fix this? Can my mobile authenticator not be fixed? Am I going to have to open up a ticket and wait days maybe weeks to go through some process where I need to send in my freaking government ID to get it detached only to not have an authenticator because I don’t have a phone a capable of updating to IoS 13 to download the damn app?

Even if I could remove it somehow, I won’t be able to set a new one up because I’m not paying hundreds of dollars to buy a new phone because the stupid battlenet app requires a version of IoS that my iphone6 can’t install.
My guild is going to be super disappointed that their full BiS Holy Paladin and DK DPS in our two raids is totally screwed.
I should have never migrated to the mobile app. I should have just used my physical authenticator until it died.
Alright, I was able to remove the authenticator after getting a white generic error page a few times. I guess I just go forward without one now. Paranoid of trying to add the mobile one back now and again I can’t download the app cause I’m on an iphone6s.
Vasco made the branded authenticators. They no longer make them for Blizzard. The last branded authenticators were manufactured years ago. Even ones offered on Amazon are actually old. The battery only works for so long. The ones bought off of Amazon could work for a time, but could also be dead. You are not able to actually buy a new physical authenticator (meaning one with a new battery in it).
