For the past several weeks, I have been getting a pop up from battlenet that says “Security Verification” it is a quick pop up but it will temporarily minimize any full screen game I am in whether a blizzard game or not. I have finally disable the launcher from starting on startup so it won’t interrupt any game I am playing, however it even does it when I am in WoW… is this a new thing and if so, is there a way I can stop it from happening. It is super annoying… I have an authenticator and sms enabled… why am I having to deal with this as well.

I’ve seen this notification pop-up from time-to-time as well with various Blizzard Services including World of Warcraft. Seems to pop-up the most when I’m loading anything via the Blizzard App.
Noticed it also happens when I go to my Account Management Page via the Blizzard App as well. It will show a loading bar saying Security Verification and then it loads for me.
I’ve checked my Security Page as well and don’t see any unusual login attempts either.
So I wouldn’t really worry about this unless you see some unusual activity on your Battle.net account. Seems to be some sort of new feature implemented by Blizzard recently.
