Randomly yesterday after closing classic after playing for a few hours my battlenet client began causing the DPC watchdog violation BSOD… updated windows. Checked drivers. Haven’t gone into the app for my Nvidia to manually check for drivers so I’ll do that next. Looks like there’s a battlenet setting to deselect also. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling and it still crashed me so I’m currently 4 hours into a chkdsk scan… huge womp
You can use the WoW icon inside of your retail folder. It bypasses the Battle.net launcher and you will be able to play.
I posted about my BSOD crashes with Battlenet yesterday. I updated the NVIDIA drivers for my RTX 2080 using the Geforce app and the crashes stopped. Once I was able to run Battlenet, I went into the settings and turned off browser hardware acceleration just in case.
Just did a clean install from NVidia - 452.06. Worked for about 10 minute and then PC went down again.
Everything runs completely fine so long as I dont load the BNet Launcher.
W10, Quadro P2000, i7-8750H.
All other apps are up to date, windows is up to date.

Can confirm updating the video drivers stopped the freezing. Used the GEFORCE app to do the install.
Try using the GEFORCE app instead of manual install. Another poster said the manual apparently missed a file and the app got everything.
tried the geforce app the first time and had issues, which is why I tried manual the second time. 
This happened for me today, too. I had to uninstall Battle.net and reinstall. The issue went away.

Hello all,
After 16 + years of WOW at 58 years of age I can honestly say the Battlenet Launcher needs to be fixed if the want us to use it’s features. It crashes my mouse driver, AMD drivers, freezes PC; The same things everyone else has been saying. I can play WOW for hours if I launch it from it’s own launcher with absolutely no problems with all graphic settings at max. Blizz… Get this thing fixed!!!
