What you advocate for actually has both. Char-server + bnet, so downsides of both.
You can do that with free bnet accounts - no subscription or anything needed.

Didn’t you lament the recent change concerning the Mythic flying mount skin?
If you had your way that mount would be restricted to Mythic Raiders, which seems to suggest that you’re only interested in a closed off gaming community which public Btags would promote.

Not much time today to type up the long-winded post I wanted to, citing all the reasons Btags are not only the easiest option but why they (or a unified forum account) are necessary for these forums.
So I’ll just leave it with: Good morning, everyone! Btags, as the easiest option to implement, are sorely needed if we want these forums to have any semblance of value going forward. Access to 160 ‘alt’ accounts is disruptive and often abused for the sake of trolling and other, more vile purposes - it needs to go!

You’d think that they would, but they are the ones who seem to want to stalk or harass people when they make the claims that BTags will enable it just to be proven wrong.
btags won’t stop “trolling” because most of you think people are a troll simply with disagreeing with you. if we had battlenets and i was still using this toon to chat some of you would ignore me simply because i’m a 55 dk so then what?

might be because thats what you guys keep going on about for 5 months. we haven’t had any serious trolls in months lol. just because someone disagrees with you does not mean theyre a troll. this forum doesn’t have a big troll scene like people are making it out to be right now lol. just ignore people and move on.

I don’t understand your point. You can’t add people to your bnet unless they consent so hiding the last two or three numbers to prevent this makes no sense.

Your account is actually a perfect example. Lets just say you are being a troll, a huge troll, hypothetically. How can i ignore you? Your profile is hidden so i need to do the following:
Add your name to my ignore list, copy and past.
Oh guess what? Copy and pasting a name doesn’t always work in the ignore section(not for me at least).
So i need to manually type out your name, but would you look at that you have a special character over your “i”.
So now i need to either find the “alt-code” for that letter or figure it out another way. Im not saying its hard, but it is silly.
Maybe I’m being dumb and there is an easier way to block someone. But I’m 100% all for BTage usage, I’m blown away that some people still don’t agree.

i don’t want to be added - and when i say added - i don’t want ANY requests because someone got pissed at me over something i said on these forums. people are so persistent with btags and only that no other suggestion is sound.
