For some reason my Battlenet app has begone to load on computer start up. Even though I have the option turned off in the game settings, as well in the System settings of my computer. It started after 8.3, or one of it’s patches.
I dislike any start up programs going, anyone else having this issue.
Anyone know how to fix this issue?
I’m curious if you all have the Windows 10 feature “fast startup” enabled, which is what can cause apps to load up again after you have shut down. To check:
In Windows 10, click the Start button and type Power then click the Power & Sleep Settings result
Click Additional power settings (to the right)
Click Choose what the power buttons do (to the left)
Under Shutdown settings see if Turn on fast startup is enabled, if it is try disabling this option, save the changes, and then shut down the PC (do not Restart, since restart isn’t affected by this).
Turn the system on again and see if the Battle.net app starts up automatically.
This “fast startup” setting is most useful for PCs that have Windows installed on a traditional HDD since it seeps up the boot times, however your PC has an SSD you may not need the option enabled or notice a difference due to the fast boot times for SSDs.
I’m having the same problem. I’m playing on a 32" tv and when you load up battlenet the window size is massive, so I need to lower the dpi through properties of a “battlenetluncher” shortcut and double click that when i’m ready to play but now its loading on its own, on startup, and the box is unchecked in the battlenet settings.
