Battle.net App - How to Join a Community On My Phone?

So, I downloaded the battle.net app, and put in my login and stuff. I go to groups, I hit the “Join a Group” button, and then I enter the Invite Code into the space provided, and my WoW community pops up with the option to join! But I always get back the same reply when I press the button-- “Invalid Input”

Even when creating a new join code for my WoW community, I get the same error, and am unable to join.

Any ideas? I tried looking up a solution on google, but nothing even remotely close to my issue came back.

Is this in the Desktop App, Vailnite? As far as I am aware a WoW Community is only available in-game, not through the App.

You should normally receive an error telling you to try in-game.

Unless I am misunderstanding, the Battle.net App on the phone should function the same. WoW Communities would be accessible in-game.

In case you don’t know, OP, there’s a difference between Battlenet Communities (which are accessible through the Battlenet app and in which you are identified by your Battletag) and WoW Communities (in which you are identified by your character name and which you can only access while logged into WoW on that character). If you’re trying to join a WoW Community through the Battlenet app, that could be why it’s not working properly.

Separate from the Battlenet app, there is also a WoW Companion app. Judging by its description on the Play Store, it looks like you would be able to access WoW Communities from your phone through that one.

I am useless here except to mention the phone part, because I know nothing about Bnet or Communities. :grin:

When I tried joining via the desktop app it gave me that error. Trying to join from the phone battlenet app (It’s an android - dunno if that matters) I got an error that just read “Invalid Input”

Alright, this is the mistake I was making. Thank you.
