Hi - just restarted my account after an ~11-year break (lol).
I read that Battlegroups no longer matter for BGs, but do they still matter for Arenas? E.g., Arena player pool is still locked to their respective Battlegroups? I couldn’t find a clear answer googling on my own. Thank you!
Think they were disbanded after Wrath, so Cataclysm. There might have been a brief period where it’d still try to queue you in your battle group before sending you out after like 3 minutes, but yeah, they’re no longer a thing.
They were removed in MoP due to the unprecedented exodus from pvp, there were 13 battlegroups before MoP and they were all merged 1 one which created the illusion of “so much participation”.
Burn MoP and optimus prime warrior (I played priest back then might be biased against warr) or stampede/readyness hunter. Oh and ehn 80% execute, and druid ice block, and… Yea just burn it.
Nope, you’re fine. I would advise transferring to a high pop server and finding a decent guild though, you don’t want to rely too much on Lfg.
It’s because RBGs used a region-wide ladder and personal rating like arena would eventually do in MoP. Since that was the case, battlegroups were removed from battlegrounds in Cata but remained for arena until after s13.
