See topic. Why do they even launch when it’s 40 horde to 15 alliance? If a bunch drop out of queue it should reset until there is 40 of each again.

I’ve seen approximately two gazillion threads complaining that Horde players have to wait too long before the Battleground starts.
That’s why. It makes the Horde queue wait time less.
Feel free to argue with those two gazillion players, not with Blizzzard.
so what you are saying is that Alliance should have to suck it up and live with the 15 vrs 40 launches so the Horde players don’t have to wait a little longer? This is going to drive Alliance away from the bg by the truck loads, your queues will become extremely long anyways. Seems like most horde players just do not want the free wins for doing nothing to disappear.

Just have to suck it up boys and girls … get to exalted and never queue AV again unless pre-made… AV is so horde favored by design we will never win anyway unless we play pre-made and horde play dumb.
The horde just have to keep their massive queues and alliance pugs have to lose. It’s the design …

I wonder what the threshold for AV battleground closure is. Having less than half of a team around sounds like a reasonable reason to start the game closure countdown.

This suggestion is entirely reasonable. Ally will be funneled into that lopsided bg, so may as well hold the start to let them in on a fresh game.

So, I accept a queue for a BG, my character is transferred to the BG. I should be removed from the BG because other people failed to enter the BG?
it should pull you into the bg but keep the gates closed until both teams are full imo

No. I am not making any “should” statements. I was answering a “why” question. This is why. But maybe the “why” question was rhetorical, and I shouldn’t have answered it.
“Should” they do this or “should” they wait for 40 on each side? That is game design. I’m not a game designer. So I don’t have an opinion.
Is this the ruleset from 2005 battlegrounds? That is what Blizzard promised. Blizzard did not promise “the best” ruleset or what the rules “should” be.
Who cares about Alliance? Not me for sure. Do you know why? Because as a Horde I can never play a single game of AV with my friends. I have tried every trick anyone has told me. It is just impossible. With something game breaking like this you would think those Horde in my situation would get support from the community to get this situation fixed. But no it has just been the opposite. Alliance love that we can not play with our friends. They even think we deserve this for some reason.
So now that Alliance is having AV problems they want to come to these same boards and whine about it. You have made your bed now lie in it.
My decision has been to just turn off my account. It is pretty obvious this community is way to toxic to be able to work out these problems and try to get Blizzard to fix them. AV was the main reason I came back to Classic but it is obvious these problems will never be fixed.
Stop premade dodging and this goes away. Horde dont seem to have this problem.
Oh come on. You knew what patch Blizzard was using, didn’t you? This is the way it was in Vanilla.

You mean that you have tried every cheat anyone has told you.
The only reason alliance start 15v40 is because 25 other alliance dodged that queue.

Sadly the alliance faction attracted the softest players in the history of mmorpgs in this version. This is coming from an original alliance player we never gave up no matter how dire the situation was and we would fight all over the world. We would see guild messages to go clear towns under Horde control, help stop a city raid or just go camping people.

Alliance, for the most part, couldn’t hold their own in P2. They act like victims, as if no Horde got steam rolled in P2.
Here’s a hint, get your epic mount and reach r7, then you can dodge queues with the rest of your self-gimped faction.

It could also prevent everyone that dodged that queue from joining a different game # until the dodged one is filled. Push them into a seperate holding space.
