It was super scripted gameplay “they pressed this we press that” kind of deal.

Only thing good about WoD was it’s gear and that’s the only thing that was missed. Not the super scripted gameplay.

Who could gear fairly fast and there was an actual ilvl boost going in to 700, which was below CQ gear at 740.
Only people whose gear didn’t get upgraded up to that point was people that didn’t bother to get WoD gear while lvling.

So no nothing like it is now.

Passive rng dmg from gear is completely new.

Outlier pieces existed but they were an edge not a game changer like now with pvp vs pve gear.

And on the no balance changes is flat out false with it being other xpacs, they didn’t go entire patches without trying to balance the outlier specs to go for an “organic” meta.

I had plenty of close bgs in WoD. I have had more shutouts now than ever before. Only one I can’t judge is legion cause I quit right after emerald dream and only came back when shadowlands was announced and I heard we were on argus, so wanted to see that.

Legion had the best matches, this is 2nd, wod is 3rd… for me anyway

No strong disagreement on “degrees” thereof, but we can all find one minor example of these for every expansion.

Well either let’s get it correct, because no one is nostalgic for WoD pvp, just the gear.

Show me something that procced rng dmg off gear, pre bfa.

You can find where zero balancing changes went into a patch? That’s including hotfixes too.

As well as a pvp season where multiple someones was completely decked out in pve gear to arena with.

Do what I do.

  1. Zone in to random BG
  2. See 5 Bleeding Hollow people on other team
  3. Sigh
  4. Leave BG and make a sandwich

But it’s not hard to find out if they’re all in the same guild and have about 3 times the health as anyone else

The thing they don’t tell you is how big of a premade was on their side, because it’s impossible that all these people are fighting premades and their team doesn’t have one of their own.

Maybe it’s less of a thing at level cap or I’m playing at the wrong hours then because in leveling BGs I swear I run into them constantly.

You are not playing the wrong hours. People denying are the ones that you run into. Just back from a BG where all enemy had 550k+ health while our team around 400K. I jumped in a bit late but my whole team was camping at LH because they couldn’t put up a fight.

You can see a leaders crown on a premade(over and above the bg leader)… So then you pretty much know something is going on.

Give me the templates of Legion

All of those who complained about “wanting gear to matter” were thinly veiled dragonslayers looking to bring their PVE gearing into BG’s to roflstomp PVPers

120 geared players coming into low level bgs not getting owned by anyone especially when they come in grp of 5, get a clue or dont comment cause you and i are not talking about the same thing.
