Battleground - Dont be a hypocrite

The forums looked much like they do now back in classic before BG’s opened and it was nothing but alliance posting as we are now. All these #nochanges alliance posting now, when you look at their past posts you find they were leading the charge on the forums with posts and replies seeking a resolution for a problem that was only going to exist for a few weeks, and somehow because they had to endure a few weeks of misery they believe that justifies ruining the entire life of the game for the horde.
Mercenary que system like in retail Blizzard, make it happen! This was a great addition to retail and completely fixed the issue, already seen it done and proven to work and enjoyed by far more people that those who oppose it.

To all the horde out there: keep posting. POST POST POST! fill the forums, make the forums nothing but threads about a game that will be dying off without proper attention. Do not let up on the posting about this issue, come back everyday and start a new topic, load it up. Make sure the forums are leaning more to changing the BG system than opposing a change.

Perhaps you should reroll Alliance.

No merc mode. No Horde vs Horde.

Yes free faction changes to targeted realms.

YES merc mode. No to horde vs horde (i agree here). Would rather not faction change but not an unreasonable solution but it needs to be made across all realms otherwise horde are still screwed over on certain realms (the only solution to this problem AGAIN IS MERC MODE).

And to the alliance who are telling horde to reroll, you all hated that solution in phase 2 when presented to you while you were complaining so as the title says, “dont be a hypocrite.”

It doesn’t necessarily have to be all realms. The queues are pooled between realms. If it was just for overpopulated Horde realms then I think it could have a real impact.

It has to be free though.

That way people can transfer their alts. They can transfer with friends. They can transfer whole guilds.

You can keep posting and we will keep roasting you guys for it

Imagine having a clear racial advantage in pvp and then also expect to have fast queues :joy::joy:

They have a marginal racial advantage that really doesn’t pay dividends until high tier arena.

I appreciate the constructive conversation this is a great exchange so I want to throw that out there.

The point I want to make is that it would not be a guaranteed fix for all. Though it would ease the pain those of us in this situation are looking for a FIX. If I break my arm, I want it to be casted and heal, I dont want Tylenol. The transfers would be an instant fix for those who were allowed to do it, and would ease the numbers for those not allowed to do it, but if horde was still forced to sit in 30+ min ques instead of 1.5 hour+ ques it is still broken. This is where Merc mode is a complete fix for everyone.
The problem is not just with the overall numbers being tipped to the horde, even on balanced servers before crossrealm que systems were introduced horde still had longer que times because the population of horde has always had more PvPers than the alliance population. The interests of our faction changes the que along with populations. But it is not simply a population problem.

Nobody, and that includes horde, wants merc mode.

Horde -> ally faction xfers address the server imbalance but also queue times. Merc mode push the game more toward a one faction game like retail. Stop peddling this dumb shxt.

Kinda human nature there for the 2 weeks of misery comment, this is WoW home of the sensitive nerds… of course they want to in return ruin it for life now. It’s only fair to their couple weeks right :stuck_out_tongue:

I love that horde are suffering with long queue times, you deserve it.

Posting that “nobody” wants merc mode on a post about wanting merc mode lol the irony. I would say to think about it a little. But there would be one part of that statement that would prove most difficult for you.

I think some relief is all Horde can hope for. I don’t think there will be a fix.

Yep. and now many people want to change to alliance because the racials arent worth it. Why aren’t you happy?

When pushing for something, you must push for its full potential. How different would history be if fighting for a cause ended with all they could hope for?
Not to say an issue existing in an online MMO stacks up to the hardships of world history, but its simply a point being made.

why would it have to be to targeted servers? why cant they stay on same server just switch faction??

A lot of Alliance would quit or reroll if they added Horde vs Horde or even merc mode. I don’t want that.

Well if it’s an Alliance dominated realm I would want that Horde person to go to a realm that actually needs balancing help. I don’t want Horde on Alliance dominated realms to switch to Alliance, making the problem worse on those realms in world PvP and questing. Most PvP servers are Horde-heavy anyway though, so for most it wouldn’t matter.

Tell me exactly how merc mode addresses the horde:alliance faction imbalances better than horde -> ally faction transfers.

Well the reason I bring that up is that it would be hard enough trying to get some to faction transfer, let alone also server transferring at the same time. It would still alleviate the queue times overall for that battle group or whatnot, but I guess for some imbalanced servers that are alliance heavy it would make those imbalance issues worse. I just think asking some to also transfer servers while also transferring their faction might be a bit much for some.
