Battle pets quests messed up after patch 8.1

Right after 8.1 is launched, I found several one-time battle pets quests that I have done before became available again, including “Level Up!”, “Battle Pet Tamers: Kalimdor”, “Battle Pet Tamers: Northend”, “Beasts of fable (not the repeatable one)”, “Deadmines, Part Three?” and “A Call from the Caverns”.

I thought it was just a tiny misconfigured reset of quests, so I just did all of them again. But today they just showed up again. They became daily quests!

The bigger problem is some of the usual daily quest of “Flowing Pandaren Spirit”, and weekly quests “Pet Battle Challenge: Deadmines” and “Pet Battle Challenge: Wailing Caverns” are no longer available at all times. Weirdly the other three Pandaren spirits still accept daily quests.

This very easy to reproduce and I can provide screenshot if needed.

Update 12/15:
This bug is fixed. Daily quests are back and you just have to do the one time quests again and they won’t show up anymore.

I have noticed the same thing, some of them work, but most do not, and it seems random which will and will not for each person.

Dittoing this.

Found it incredibly strange when I was offered the one-time “return to your capital to learn Pet Battle Training” quest from the trainer in south STV.

It auto-picked up when opening the window, but was able to be dropped without further issue.

I’ve run into this issue with the ‘Crysa’s Flyers’ daily quest in Kalimdor. I’m currently farming for the Albino Vulture pet… which I cannot do right now, because the quest has disappeared since 8.1 launched.

I have not been able to access the following daily / weekly battle pet quests since patch 8.1 came out:

Scrappin’
Mastering the Menagerie
Battle Pet Tamers: Warlords
What We’ve Been Training For

Please fix this. Much of my enjoyment of this game comes from battle pets

I have also encountered this as well as one where the Pandarian pet master dailies are not resetting.

I am seeing the same exact behavior on my characters. Both the Kalimdor and Northrend quests came back after having completed them years ago. Redid the Kalimdor quest and it came back the next day. I didn’t go beyond Hellfire in Outland, but that daily definitely wasn’t showing up for me. Hoping this is corrected soon.

This bug is fixed. Daily quests are back and you just have to do the one time quests again and they won’t show up anymore.

I still dont have the weeklies. this bug is not fixed.

in my case the weekly quests reset on Tuesday, that was before the fix. I’ll see if it works next Tue

The resets now seem to be working for me, but Mastering the Menagerie doesn’t actually succeed, despite defeating today’s challenge. Serr’ah’s quest indicator never turns yellow and attempting to turn it in just gives the in progress gossip.

I reported this same issue. I have not yet tried the weekly quests since the Tuesday reset today, but as of yesterday, I was unable to pick any of them up.

Confirmed today that weekly quests work.

Tried to do “My Beasts Bidding” in Stormheim. Was able to do it a couple of times, but I am not constantly getting a “Pet battle area is obstructed message.” Can not do it for that reason.

I also tried to do “My Beasts Bidding” in Stormheim. I was unable to do it because I was getting “Pet battle area is obstructed message.” I opened a ticket on it.

Will this be fixed or is it permanerfed?

I can confirm that as of June 2nd the bug is not fixed. It works on some of my characters by my Holy Paladin DI Dwarf does not have access to any of the pet battle dailies. No problem with my other DI characters.

I finished Grand Master Payne and A Brief Reprieve, and now Varzok (Horde) is refusing to give me the next quest (to beat Cataclysm trainers). I waited a couple days and tried again (no luck), I beat Grand Master Payne again (no luck). When will this be fixed?

Managed to get it on a different character. Not sure if globally fixed or that switching to a character that has never done pet battle fixed it for me.
