Battered Hilt questline problem

Hey guys, recently came back to the game and bought a battered hilt for my paladin so he can get the 2hander.

Anyway, I progressed through the questline up to the Forge of Souls quest where you have to dip the blade in the cauldron the tamper it. I clicked the quest item and saw the animation throwing the blade in the cauldron, but after that nothing happened…no new quest item to loot or given to my inventory, no RP to wait through and I did wait a considerable amount of time.

In my infinite wisdom I thought I might have to step thru the Pit of Saron Portal, nothing on that side so I took the portal back to Forge of Souls which actually put me to a graveyard instead, so I flew back to the instance but at this point it had been reset.

I still have no quest item to turn in the tempered blade. Has anyone had this issue and/or know any work arounds? I put in a ticket immediately but this may be quicker if someone knows.

You’re just supposed to get the credit.

You should have had the quest for Forge. And once you throw it in, you should get an item instantly in your bags and get 1/1 credit.

If it didn’t work, submit a GM ticket. Be polite. And just explain everything. If possible, include screenshots. (You did submit it, but make sure it detailed. And make sure its nice and polite).
