I had a thought I might try buy one of these, get a nice 251 weapon early on… but damn they were on the ah last night for like 26k!! Pretty naive of me I guess.
Guess it’ll drop over time.

The trade chat asking price on my server was about half of that.
It’s not surprising that the first lucky few were trying to cash in on being first - and also given the sheer amount of gold rolling around these days someone miiiight pay that much.
They perhaps would have been wise to set a lower bid price tho to raise the odds of it selling at all, even while aiming for the high buyout.
It started pretty high on Mankrik (~30k) but it has plummeted hard. Will probably be in the 5k range by the end of the weekend.

Was 9k on Whitemane Horde last night.
That’s actually much cheaper than I expected it to be on the first day.
Remember, people were paying 40k for greatness trinkets the first month Wotlk went live.
26k is a bargain, really. It should drop a few k per week over the next coming months and stabilize at around 10-12k. I dont see it going much lower until prepatch Cata.
If true, I’m definitely picking up 4 of them for my alts.

Should of done Arena too 1500 Rating. They gave 2200 weapons away for 1500. Think they wanted people to be geared.
The farming just started however they should be around there probably. In a week or 2 maybe 8k.
Thought this might be about people bailing on HOR after killing the sword for the quest line.

WoW token didn’t exist in 2010 and GDKP were not nearly as mainstream or popular back then so folks with outdated ideas of cost come across as Boomers…. Just get a good weapon from vendor. 245 weapons sell with RDF Gamma currency. That’s plenty good till you get the gold and the cost drops.
