Bans being issued for SS leavers

Good if true. Ban them from solo queue for a week minimum.

If you as the person states in chat you are going to kick someone because you donā€™t like their glasses mog, thatā€™s griefing, a blatant reprehensible offense.

Ied kick u for being vulpera alone

No its dead cause the modern gamer doesnt want to play a game where you have to press 60+ keybinds, gameplay also lookes like a mobile game with too many effects.

People leaving is just a side effect of Blizzard not being able to release a game mode properly.

People leaving an extreme amount of shuffles regularly should at the very least get warnings.

Same. :dracthyr_blob_dance_animated:

Anything is possible, itā€™s still wrong and 99% likely not to happen but go onā€¦

Wait so are people actually banned or is this all in headcanon?

100% :billed_cap:ā€¦ 10chars

They should just dock MMR points also, thatā€™s how we got into this mess in the first place.

Generally games donā€™t let people tank their mmr without affecting others. Especially not quickly because mmr is there to get even games, and if they let people easily drop it then you have smurfing issues.

Hard to argue an entire account should be banned for the sole act of leaving solo shuffle, since thereā€™s an extensive amount of content in WoW beyond this niche game mode. In that case I think an account-wide aura with escalating timers that prevents you from queueing either only RSS or all rated would be most appropriate.

That said, yeah if itā€™s proven youā€™re intending to cause harm to other players, that extends beyond the game mode. Like if someone was so stupid as to to, say, totally hypothetically, create a forum thread in which they brag about how they intentionally grief other players at a 2.2k-2.4k mmr by leaving in the sixth game, I could see Blizzard taking action and suspending or permanently banning the account.

It would be nice if there were enough games going. AS it is I donā€™t think MMR is really working in RSS. Just too many games of 0s fighting 1400s. A new person shouldnā€™t go up against someone that has played a lot, even if that person isnā€™t that good.

Like I know my skill level, Iā€™m pretty sure I can hover in the 1400 range, maybe get better and reach 1600. I donā€™t want to have 0 rating people in there with me now because then I usually only go 3-3 and gain zero rating, or 2-4 and lose a bit. And I donā€™t want to hit 1600 and find myself the lowest rank in there with 2100+ players (no idea if this happens, just guessing it will).

I mean they have to start somewhere. Itā€™s annoying to have played 50 games at 1400 then get somebody at 1500 who hasnā€™t played arena before and watching them go 0-6, but then they drop down to 1100-1300 or wherever.

They could also just be an alt and go 4-2, 5-1 or 6-0

No need to prove intent, only need to show that they harmed other players experience in this case as only effect not intent is covered by the terms of service and social contract.

Iā€™ll need you to provide quotes from the ToS & social contract that explicitly state this, please. Itā€™s a wonder people have been getting away with leaving groups up to this moment in time!

This is why in real life, sport is organized into leagues and/or ladders which are set at the start of the season. Teams or ranked players canā€™t just come and go in the middle of a season. Ultimately thatā€™s the failing of rated PvP, anyone can start at any time and leave at any time. Thereā€™s no requirement to play a number of games per week.

Maybe thatā€™s the key to reducing leavers? Require a minimum number of games per week against players/teams of your own rank. Say 10 per week at a minimum. Give CR only at the end of week.

What do you think would happen then, if players had to complete 10 per week in order for their CR to update at weekā€™s end?

It hasnā€™t been a big impact until now.

For all the whining in dungeonā€™s and raids about leavers, itā€™s really not that bad there and the scope of impact is small. Technically in an M+ if one person leaves it may still be possible to complete. Where RSS a single leaver means nothing for anyone.

No, and thatā€™s partially why mmr is a little more malleable early. If I queue an alt and win 12 games in a row then itā€™ll put me up at higher mmr to get me out of the newbie pool asap.

WoW is pretty quick about getting people to where they need to be asap. Sure, you bump into somebody in placements from time to time, but itā€™s less common after the first few weeks of the season.

I know itā€™s wild rightā€¦ ā€œbut I feel like itā€™s real and therefore it is.ā€
