I’m a person who has never done GDKP and never wiil. I have 2 acquaintances who did as buyers. After getting good gear they left the game. One said the game was boring to him now. I suspect they bought gold - but not sure.

I am pretty certain most of the player base does not support GDKP and suspects it encourages gold buying and thus the enormous amount of bots we see in the game.

I agree there are other ways to control bot numbers and RMT - which for me are real problems. I know of way more than 2 people who won’t play classic servers because of bots and rmt. If GDKP can exist without RMT and legions of bots then I have no problem with it.

The way I see this move is it is a trial on a seasonal limited time server. They said in the video if the ban does not have any impact on rmt or has big negative impacts then it will be removed. I think it is entirely reasonable on a seasonal server to see i) if a ban in possible and ii) to see what impact it has.
