Banning GDKP on Anniversary Servers. Did it work?

seeing as how anniversary changes like the black lotus thing are effecting era, i have every right to voice my opinion on anniversary, thanks :expressionless:

and no offense, but you are one of the rudest people on this forum. like incredible rude honestly with your condescending and passive aggressive emojis you use in literally every post. lmao

no, actually you dont. why dont you advocate for your own dead server instead of squandering the necessary changes for anniversary.

That’s what I was driving at. Banned GDKP vs legal GDKP is 100% a different feel for the game and a lot of people don’t want to be compelled one way or the other. At the end of the day, it’s all about preference and how you want to play.

Now that that’s settled, maybe we don’t have to see 1000 posts about RMT with GDKP. Heh, jk. Wishful thinking.

I did a few GDKPs on my warlock alt during classic WotLK and I found them to be very social. there were a lot of regulars they all seemed to know each other and the banter was great.

I am not sure a guild tag is necessary to cultivate a good group social experience

yup, my experience with GDKPs too :expressionless:

people who say otherwise are just making up a stereotype in their head

I think the reason no one has provided any evidence that banning GDKPs has mitigated RMT/botting is because all of the evidence we can see points us to the conclusion that banning GDKP has not affected RMT/botting.

Just look through the AH (and zones to find botters)

they’ve given up on that justification, as you can see :expressionless: now they try to say it was for “social reasons” which is ridiculous.

Why would banning the main source of inbound gold for the majority of raiders reduce the amount of gold buying and botting?

The GDKP ban was clearly promoted by gold sellers that wanted to protect their market and create customers out of the players.

Not “now,” they said that back before anniversary launched.

Well, if there is a bot mafia controlling the Black Lotus spawn locations (there is). Increasing the rate of the spawn just gives them a surplus of lotus, they can artificially limit the supply, to increase demand and drive up prices… you know like what basically every company in America does for profit.

I don’t really understand how this “fix” is supposed to change anything.

Blizzard continues to assure us they understand their own game but all evidence points to the contrary.

Because rules make a game.
Ever play chess?

Poor analogy. It’s like forcing people who want to play untimed to play speed/timed chess

Yes Blizzard has said banning GDKPs has worked in their view and so don’t expect them to come back.

It was in a blue post.

They liked what they’ve seen from banning GDKPs.

You aren’t getting GDKPs back.

Another pro-GDKP thread made by a character with 0 posts (when he made the thread).

You guys don’t even try.

Well you can go play untimed over on Era / Cata classic.

I could, but it’s not very inclusive to people who enjoy GDKP. If the reasoning is that you want those former GDKPers to join guilds and play that way, then driving them off your server is counterproductive

I came back to play Classic Fresh. Am I supposed to be posting on the forums all the time on this character for my opinion to be valid? Complete non-argument from you. All you have are character attacks and ad hominem

Your schedule makes classic raiding almost impossible. Especially on a new server like anni. Sounds like you don’t have a lot of time to commit so I’d say era would be more suited to your needs. It has gdkps and a much slower feel in general.

Hope I could help you

I guess you won’t be getting gear then because you can’t GDKP. GDKP is banned.

Sorry :person_shrugging:

It doesn’t seem that you’ve responded to the point. Good luck to you
