Banned/Silenced unfairly?

First off, I would like to apologize for making this post on an older account, but my current account has been suspended. I made an appeal but it been over a day and I did not get a response and I would like bring attention to this issue.

Ticket # US83874808
I can provide my Battlenet account if needed.

First off I would like to say my account been accused of RMT and I would like to say that is not possible at all. I implore someone to take an in-depth look and see that a mistake has been made. Thank you very much.

Just to provide a little background here. I am 35 years old, been playing Blizzard games for almost 20 years. I have a steady income and provide for two kids. If you check my transaction history, I bought all the games with real money and spent thousands across all your gaming platform, Hearthstone, Diablo 3, StarCraft II and World of Warcraft. I had over 5 million in-game gold for WoW for past two years and I was still buying the 6 months subscription to support the game and I do not need any extra income.

Point 1:

I never put myself in ANY situation for RMT. ALL Mythic + I have done, is randomly with people through the LFG tool. I have NEVER received any sort of payment for any Mythic + runs, including in-game gold. The past 2-3 years, the only gold I received is from one of my guildmate, I never received gold or transferred gold to other person. None of my guildmates are suspended either, so I am assuming it is not due to the weekly guild sale run.

Point 2:

I did not even have more than 1 million in-game gold until the end of BFA, where I joined my current guild. I started joining in on their weekly sale runs and never had a problem before. Even though I saved up quit a bit gold through sales, I still kept my 6 months subscription active so I can continue to support the game. I spent thousands across all Blizzard games, Hearthstone, Diablo 3, WoW. I bought a lot of card packs for hearthstone that I forgot how much I spent, I spent a lot of money on Diablo 3 auction house when it was there to gear up multiply characters, I bought quit a bit of character boosts, mounts, cosmetics in WoW also. All this was used by real money, off course, I also converted WoW gold tokens recently to buy stuff. You can see I am an avid Blizzard gamer.

Point 3:

I been playing this for a long long time and my account is more than 10 years old, I never had any sort of trouble with any games at all. I never type in general chat or trade chat in WoW, at all, if you check chat logs you can confirm this. I also never post on forums to complain or attack other players. I spent a lot of real money on Blizzard games, and spent so much time enjoying them. I would never compromise everything for any sort of RMT. It does not make sense for me to do that and it hurts the integrity of the game. Please looks through my account and see that I been a model WoW citizen. There must be some sort of mistake that happened, and please escalate this issue.

Thank you very much!

All you can do is wait for the result of your appeal.

An appeal is simply another set of eyes going over the evidence (game logs). If they find it was in error, they’ll overturn the account action. If they come to the same conclusion the action will be upheld. You can appeal until they say no more.

That is usually what happens before account action is taken. Account action is never taken lightly.

Honestly, not relevant.

Good luck!

I just wanted to make the point that I do not need to RMT at all. There is no motivate for any RMT transaction where I spent thousands across Blizzard’s gaming platform already. I would never compromise thtat.

The forums ain’t seen for any appeals, nor is anything posted here is taken into account for account actions. The blues here have no power or anyone to pass this along.

The account actions does not have any type of venue that gives you a chance to plead your case! You get several appeals and they check to verify if they got things right. If they find they do they will uphold the action.

Posting here or any place on the forums does nothing and in fact against the forum code of conduct.

I did not know that it was against TOS to post here. I only did because I saw many other posts regarding ban appeals and there was a respond by a CS support member.

It is against the forum code to discuss account actions. Most of the time the blues here are friendly as long as your civil and might respond. But posting here will not help you in anyway.

Sorry, I am just getting desperate here. I am in a CE guild and we are actually aiming for top US 100, this suspension came out no where and caught my whole guild and me off guard. I basically only raid log and do 10 M+ weekly, so I am super confused how I was even in a position to RMT.

Just to note, the forum staff aren’t GM’s. If they’re around they might be able to take a quick look but they won’t be able to change anything. However most of the time what they find is generally not in the favor of the player.

All you can do is file for appeal and wait for them to answer you.

Definitely I understand that. But this is absolutely a mistake and I’m 100% confident. They can dig through my logs, and see I don’t even type in general or trade chat at all. The only thing I see being flag is me buying 10 WoW token in preparation for the Dragonflight expansion.

When appeals are filed, as previously mentioned - a new set of eyes look over the action.

Unfortunately, the forums aren’t able to review or process appeals. Hopefully you’ll hear back soon.

OP, just to note, if you were advertising your guild runs ANYWHERE but the Trade channel, then that would be what would have caused the suspension.

No, no it is not. I’m sorry you’re so sadly misinformed that you feel the need to perpetuate this falsehood, but that’s not the case at all. The only thing that is automated is the squelch (not silence) system when people go a bit off the rails in chat channels. Real live people go over the data collected by whatever system picked up the flag or reports from other players. Real live people look at players’ past histories and whatever other metrics to make the call for the punishment’s length if it’s merited. Real live people look over each appeal submitted as a fresh pair of eyes to ensure an error wasn’t made - as people are not infallible and sometimes, mistakes are made. Even if a templated (TEMPLATED, not automated) response is sent out, it is still sent out by a real live person after it’s looked over.

Again, just to drive it home that it is a human behind the screens, sometimes there are mistakes made. That’s why there is an appeals process. We’ve seen it here plenty of times where punishments have been overturned due to errors, so whatever it is you’re trying to push? Not going to fly here.

Hopefully someone new seriously take a look and see that a mistake was made. I do not even know how the first person can take a look on my account and assumed it was RMT right off the bat.

As Orlyia mentioned, these don’t receive attention over the forums. You can submit a ticket, and a Game Master will review the account and penalty.

Since this topic is technically against the forum Code of Conduct I’m going to close it now that correct instruction has been provided.
