Hello! Here’s my story.
Firstly, I got my main account banned for 4 days due to in-game exploit which was a reputation bug. But I haven’t done anything wrong I just did full campaign and got in the crossfire with the people who actually violated this bug.
Then I created another wow#3 account to play during my ban on the main account. Just did some old reputation farm for mounts.
Guess what? Today I got a notification that my wow3 account was banned for unauthorised hacks/ cheats.
So I got banned twice for no reason even though I haven’t violated TOS and was just playing the game.
I did some research and figured out some people got banned as well.
Is it a thing now to get banned just for playing game?
If you think either of the bans were in error you’ll need to appeal.

I did appeal but just got automated bot reply before.
Waiting for another reply .
Ive been loyal to WoW for a long time
I mean it’s not that a big deal to close my alt account since I’m not actually going to play it but still it’s really frustrating to get banned 2 times in a row for doing nothing and getting no compensation.
Hope my information on that other post gave you some indication of what the future on this holds.
Please do come back and advise if you got yours overturned/compo for the matter, generally cannot stress enough.
Nothing useful / helpful / escalation or customer service support from Blizzard exists in this forum, just need to wait for your ticket. Would encourage you just to wait for that, generally sorry for your circumstances and experiencing it myself how frustrating it is. Best of luck and I mean that.
If they discover that it is a false positive, they usually overturn it, send an apology email, and grant game time back to the customer. Hopefully that is all it is on your WoW3 License.

Yeah will keep you updated here in this post.
But I think it’s going to take a while since the first response is going to be an automated bot message

Took 72 hours to see a response from a game-master, but was a copy paste and the " final decision all others are considered spam ", trying to push the appeal as again my case was clear misunderstanding. Wish you the best of luck, that’s the best you can get from this forum and yeah use the appeal and hope.
Sigh people need to stop with the bot reply retoric its not only 100% false its totaly irrelevant blizzard never uses bots or AI everything from the punishment thru apeals are handled 100% by real people that use templates the only thing thats automated is the sqelch.
Lets be honest if tickets were being handled by bots they be answered in seconds not take days or weeks to be processed and answered.

This is incorrect, my first response was the following:
Greetings,
This action has been taken in accordance with our Terms of Use and our In-game Policies ( https://blizzard.com/support/article/42673 ), which all players acknowledge and agree to prior to playing. These policies and conditions allow us to maintain a fun and safe game environment for all of our players.

This is an automated response a few hours after I submitted my ticket, the process may be somebody copy pasting a process they are following when they look at your ticket originally, I’m only day 4 into my customer service journey and a lot of people are encouraging me to push the appeal as first few instances no interest / engagement from blizzard on giving support or lenience.
I can gaurentee u real people still answer tickets no mattter what ur seeing on reddit or general tickets will always be answered by real people.

You could argue customer service is streamlined but, like they have a set response when you approach them, this isn’t automation, maybe a person copy pasting an action as per their process into their response, outcome is the same.

I think in some cases real people do investigate and actually lift the suspension.
But overall from what I can see it rarely happens
Some of the people I’ve spoken to basically advising its like just an uphill battle, eventually you get somebody who will sit down and properly read over and yeah maybe go ok you made a mistake this isn’t a big deal or yeah you just go into a bottomless pit waiting in way.
That’s just the reality of the situation. Obviously individual circumstances factor in, but appears to be a theme from individuals who have reached out.
And its lies and conspiracy theroies like this that prevents people from apealing stop the lies spread the truth all apeals will be looked at by real people that USE TEMPLATES.

I am sorry Darth, but that is not always true at all. Vrak has explained it publicly here. They do have auto reply letters that they send during high queue times. If you put one in for Tech Support for example during high queue times you may get an auto reply with common tech help sites and solutions. Same for most other categories too.
If that auto reply does not help, a person should re-open the ticket for more assistance. It often says it right on the reply they got - that it is auto generated.
The first reply to appeals is usually the same - auto generated during high queue times. They DO use templates as well so it does not change much when a GM actually looks at it, but it is not always a real person the first answer.
Yes that does happen from time to time. Blizzard does sometimes have false positives on the anti-cheating detection. Not common, but it does happen.

I hope suspension will get lifted… not that I’m concerned about alt account but it might happen to my main account…
Hopefully but the reason for the apeals serves 2 purposes to make sure there was or wasnt a mistake and to remove a black mark that wont go away and will double next time if the apeal failed.
