I’ve seen some wild ideas out there, but this is an odd one. No, you didn’t get an account action for using he bug report as it’s just an one way report to give the QA team notice of what’s going on. Seeing as what you’ve posted, it sounds more like AFK’ing in PVP and the like.

All we can tell you is put in an appeal if you think the action was wrong.

Filing a bug report wouldn’t get you banned. Possibly if it was an exploit that you were also doing?

Its also highly unlikely to be something you were doing yesterday. Investigations take time.

An important distinction here would be whether you were using the in-game bug report feature or if you were sending in tickets regarding the bug. If the latter, GMs do not fix bugs. If you kept sending in tickets for bugs, there’s a good chance you’d be actioned for violations of the customer support interaction policy.

If you were sending tickets for bugs repeatedly, then it’s possible that would’ve been the actual violation and the GM who applied the penalty selected the wrong type of violation.

That. I have no idea what issue you’re talking about. Could be some sort of pet duping, I don’t know. That’s why I asked it as a question.

But yeah, reporting a bug doesn’t get you actioned (assuming you aren’t doing any sort of engaging in exploits while reporting it).

Unfortunately, nothing can be done about the account action over the forums. If you feel it was applied in error, you’ll need to appeal using the link in the email.

This has zero to do with Battle Pets or a bug report.

It has everything to do with violent hatespeech in your roleplaying profile.

I recommend you remove that.

Agree, I sent in an appeal.
I asked them about the fact they commented regarding a possible “compromised account.”
The only thing they sent was a computer-generated response, with the link to read the rules.
So the bug report was the only thing that I could possibly think of, unless my account is compromised, but asking them to pls provide if they did in fact, think it was due to me not even playing last night, and only for about 2 hours the night prior.
Nvidia Updates are having major issues. I have been dealing with the anti virus software, AURA. Nvidia sites all show anyone using AURA has issues. I actually turned mine off 2days ago for it to download,. so I am in fact curious as to what they are stating… If that makes sense

Yep, I forgot about inappropriate roleplay profiles are classified as Gameplay Sabotage. Definitely get that changed once you can log back in!

They change that a while ago, they can see add-ons/profiles in add-ons.

Directly, yes. Using addons in their game to portray hateful content to others who have that addon, no. That’s in their wheelhouse.

If you use something like TRP3 to host hateful/sexual content, it can be actioned. TRP3 even comes with a handy report tool for this express purpose.

Where roleplay addons are concerned, Blizzard can and will action inappropriate profiles. That’s been a thing for a while now.

TRP 3 even has a report button on profiles for that very purpose.

There is no free speech on private platforms. Even better: Blizzard is not obligated to give you a soapbox to declare any political opinion in a game that is about World of Warcraft. Not Earth of Politicscraft.

yes and i used it when they were showing my mothers address, her phone number etc and the police were informed by Blizzard and Activision they couldn’t do anything, bc it was an addon

Yet it seems to be working in your case. I don’t know what you’re talking about with regards to some police report etc, that seems like a completely different situation and likely not one to be discussed here really.

Next time keep your roleplaying profile game-appropriate.

It would have been nice had they stated that on the ticket, yet they made it a whole issue regarding me griefing and being afk. and mentioned account compromise.
