Bandage Bugs and First Aid Return

To be fair, no one used First Aid because they relied on teammates to heal them. What other contents are there for you to use First Aid? I could say Mage Tower, but they removed it. I don’t know about Torghast…

PvP? I dunno…

No thanks. .I like my self heals… and over first aid… get out of here with that insane idea.

I play classes with heals now. Shaman and Paladin. So they have built in heals. Everyone else… I just hope to get out of combat and eat something.

So bandages are/were kinda meh for me since Cata.[1]

[1] There was one boss in Cata HoO where I always would make sure I was standing next to the heals when the fight ended on this guy. So I could start bandaging the healer. Then I’d say something about healing the heals… lol

Thank you for proving my point… Now you’re even calling me names because I questioned the doctrine you adhere to. Amazing. That’s just it though, didn’t disagree, you just recited Blizzard’s old reasons without formulating an opinion of your own.

“B-b-but Blizzard said that”

NO! Shut up! Think for yourself!

That can apply to anything and what about 90% of all other situations where you CAN use the bandage. I use my survival hunter bandage all the time. Thinnnnnnnk, please, this hurts.

Again, let ME spell it out - I just brought it back and made it viable. Your argument has been destroyed.

There’s plenty of applications. Granted I’m use to surviving on my own in world PvP, but finding a use for First Aid as I’ve outlined it would be easy. It’s an excellent way to get that heal you need in quick when you’re running around the corner.

You’re a priest…you’re supposed to have self heals. Most other classes shouldn’t. Great examples of classes with self heals that shouldn’t have them:

  • Rogues
  • Warriors
  • Mages
  • Marksman and BM hunters

I could create a whole thread on each class and powers that need to be purged because they cluster up the game into a complete mess. Monk is a clinic on how not to make a class. It’s about as wrong as it can possibly get.

Exactly I totally relate to that. I’ve been trying to get First Aid viable for years since then. It was mostly good in the old days, but even then it wasn’t done right. Same with food. Instead of having a fixed number, they just need to change it up to percentage per second.

you called me names earlier, irony much?

you asked why it wont come back. now why i feel it was removed. i answered your question

yawn

i said WAS. WAS. jfc

Pointing out that you’re not thinking for yourself isn’t overtly calling you names, it’s just pointing out a fact.

But you were clinging to blizzard’s old posts before that. And failing to acknowledge my viable version of the ability. I use this all the time as a Survival hunter. It works fantastically.

calling me a sheep is calling names.

because. you. asked. why. it. wont. come. back. blizzard gave a reason. i told it to you.

Maybe instead of removing a useless bandage profession you make it not useless?

Like op had such an elementary solution that I’m surprised it wasn’t used to make first aid something again. % based bandages give a clear indicator of return and are potentially better.

Also, imagine if we had Anti venoms/bleed bandages? Necrotic and Bursting/Grievious anyone. Older WoW systems frankly have solutions to newer WoW systems and could also bring back more traditional RPG aspects in the process.

I think returning first aid and revamping it could alleviate a lot of problems with some mechanics that don’t normally have answers for all classes, at least in dungeons.

im not blizzard. i have no control over making it not useless?

why bring back first aid? just throw that into tailoring. easy.

Why do people have this thing where you think everyone is asking them specifically to fix it.

You specifically can’t do anything, but you are downplaying the idea as bad/pointless. OP made a post to suggest some improvements and a return. You saying it’s a pointless idea does have potential impact though, even if minuscule.

I mean that’s honestly fine, but that would also mean you have to sacrifice a profession to get it. That’s why first aid returning is preferable, because then we wouldn’t have to abandon one of our professions just to use it.

im allowed to not like an opinion or a suggestion.

the profession has been gone for years. there’s nothing to sacrifice.

Maybe I am that one person. I use them to net rogues during Cloak of Shadows, as it bypasses their cloak (frostweave one does, not the ember one). I wish the duration was longer, but it is handy to give some breathing space. Also works well with DK’s and their antimagic shell.

Would it be too much to ask for them not to use the same cloth I use for tailoring? No way I am going to use valuable cloth for bandages that only my warrior will end up using (I’m bad).

Would it matter? You’re just going to dismiss anything that doesn’t fit your narrative.

Instead of first aid, they should introduce a new profession: Surgery.

In order to heal players utilizing Surgery, you have to perform complicated tests on your patient (i.e., the other player) in order to determine what the main cause of damage was, how to heal it, then complete the procedure. This could take up to days at a time and would render both players unable to participate in any content until the procedure was complete.

Upon failure, the damaged player loses their character permanently but all the most recent players who have passed away from recent surgery are shown as spirits, in their mogs and everything, for a few short minutes somewhere in the Shadowlands.

Op,even if they revitalize bandages it will always be at a level 10 below the level your at.

Not true. If the person has a logistical reason for not wanting something I suggest, then I’ll take it into account. I may not agree and offer a counterpoint, but I will talk to them. Now where I become annoyed is when someone doesn’t offer an opinion or a counter, just some mindless response like “Blizzard won’t do it”. That’s not an argument, and it’s not the point of a forum. As paying customers it’s our right to express what we want in the game. Blizzard can take it from there and make their choice of what they want.

People like Sleepyash need to learn to speak from their own minds, and not turn an authority for their thoughts. It’s not dismissive when he’s not even offering a perspective of his own.

So if you have a well grounded, logical reason for not like this idea, then we can talk. If you give me a dumb, drone like response, then you’ll get what Sleepylash got as a response.
