We picked up on that.
warlocks who return from the ban should have no jobs. l i t t l e m o n e y.
season of inconsistent bans
im listening to a no-name streamer ( U, 6PC) on Crusader Strike-A – and hearing his guildmates talk about two guildmates who got suspended (one for 14 days, the other for 30 days). and these guys are still talking about where the buy gold (which, I guess, is $27 for 1000G).
That is a great thread. Lol.
One of my favorites lol. Always happy to see fans.
l i t t l e m o n e y and no job was the reason I joined the death corpse brigade and ultimately led to my demise, or did it?
Item removal and a suspension is fine enough.
This was the most obviously exploit I have seen in a long time lol. This wasn’t some grind that was overtuned that people say “exploit early exploit often” on. It was just a literal game breaking exploit.
Two weeks isn’t a ban it’s a suspension and for people that were obviously aware they were bypassing intended mechanics as anyone doing this should have been. They actually should get a ban not a suspension. This is the very definition of the kind of thing you are supposed to be banned for.
I spent 2 or 3 days to get 4 world core fragments because so many 20 minute waits end in junk or at least not a fragment. There were plenty of threads about it and it’s well documented there was a 20 minute wait for the imp to return.
What this EXPLOIT involved made multiple intended mechanics not happen.
So ban is what should happen to everyone involved. The problem is the smaller servers are going to get really screwed on population if they do that. This was being broadcast all over on discords etc Nobody forces you to exploit.
I’m torn on this one, because on one hand obvious exploit is obvious. But on the other, its a result of a REALLY BAD game design decision for this dagger. The drop rate is so atrociously low and requires a 20 minute wait AFTER hunting for a portal without a reasonable alternative from dungeons or other content forms. It’s bad bad so I can’t entirely fault anyone for wanting to speed run it. A 7 day ban would probably be sufficient with a rollback for any goods received.
as a warlock player I do think that yes they were a bit heavy handed, but I think that gold should be straight up rolled back.
Eh, anyone who has played this game for awhile and abused this exploit, should have seen the bans coming. Blizzard has not tollerated things like this in any versions of the game. Morons were throwing around the word “exploit” for gold in incursions, when the extra gold only lasted for maybe 7~ hours and still gives solid gold after nerf. No, this is an actual exploit. We told everyone in our guild not to do this bc we knew bans would go out for it, anyone stupid enough to do it, still deserves a ban. Anyone that doesnt think so, maybe you should freshen up on the ToS.
Weren’t there a bunch of guilds in Classic that got multiple lockouts in MC the first weeks and didn’t receive any rollback or bans?
It’s usually just selective in who they feel is exploiting the game, versus just getting to it early…
Ban all the lockout abusers
