I mean, I literally explained it to you in the post you’re responding to.
Most guide addons don’t have that feature they just give you a quest list to follow.
It also has xp/hour rate tracking and what not. I turned all the messages off when I tried it.
The addon itself just allows you to import guides. The guides themselves are what is paid for.

When i google weak auras, the first searches aren’t sites meant to sell them. Unlike restedxp.
Nor does weak auras spam my chat advertising it’s “efficiency”.
Can see Zygor instantly links to a paid service so yeah it should be banned that too.
blizzard has not gone after any of these paid addons for over a decade…this argument and thread is completely useless

this is clearly a hate thread against 1 addon not paid addons in general and there have been many threads about paid addons in the last 15yrs
AFAIK, and maybe I’m wrong, the unpaid versions only give access to part of the content. I want to say RestedEXP only gives the first 20 or 30 levels.
The reason this particular paid addon have caught attention is because it’s spamming the game. And apparently even got adverts about in places like youtube.
People are otherwise generally against paid addons, much like paid mods because their existence sets a negative precedence.

You have no proper arguments outside of “because”. And pointing out evidence for the addon to be primarily meant as a paid addon rather than a service addon that someone, somewhere might sell something for (a.la weak aura) is not a strawman argument.
tldr; “I don’t want to invest time in an activity that requires time investment. Therfore I should devalue everyone’s time spent in game for my convenience.”
That’s always an excuse people use to justify shortcuts ingame. If you don’t have time for the game then don’t play it. It’s a game made for nostalgia’s sake, if that doesn’t suit you there are a number of current gen options that cater to you.
